UFC rumors: Jose Aldo to retire? Author : Robert D. Cobb As UFC is prepping for the upcoming events through the end of the year, there is one fighter who is getting angry with them and is asking for his release. FOX Sports reported that interim featherweight champion Jose Aldo is getting pissed off with the excuses and lies about his rematch with Conor McGregor. As a result of UFC coming up with excuses and lies, he is now asking for his release from the UFC as a result. It has come down to now that he is asking for his release or he will end up retiring from the UFC. He spoke with Combate in Brazil after the news broke about McGregor wouldn't be returning to 145 pounds and would instead be facing Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight title at UFC 205. To make the situation even worse for Jose Aldo, Conor McGregor will retain his featherweight title for at least one more fight while they are making Aldo left holding onto his strap that he ended up winning at UFC 200 earlier this summer over Frankie Edgar. He is upset after the UFC would end up offering him a fight on the UFC 205 card to fight either Max Holloway or Anthony Pettis and they are also refusing to strip Conor of the title as it was promised. I fully understand why Jose Aldo is upset at UFC. Conor McGregor is a big draw for them and basically, is holding UFC captive. But I can see why he is upset at them as they promised him one thing and are going against what they said they were going to do. It was reported too that Dana White would end up forcing McGregor to drop one of his titles if he can defeat Eddie Alvarez at the UFC 205. However, now he will allow McGregor to hold the featherweight title for one more fight. They want to do this to allow Conor to make history. UFC 205 is happening in November and will feature Conor McGregor vs. Eddie Alvarez. I wish Jose Aldo all the best as his future is still uncertain in the UFC. 1 / 1 Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org).
