Rebreather Diver & Advanced Rebreather Diver Course Requirements: PADI Member EANx certification Read PADI Rebreather Diver & Advanced Rebreather Diver Student Manual and complete all 5 Knowledge Reviews Watch PADI Rebreather Diver & Advanced Rebreather Diver Key Skills Video (student must own video) Please contact your PADI Dive Center or PADI to purchase materials at least 2 weeks before the start of the course Price: $1295 Includes: tuition, use of Hollis Explorer Sport Rebreather during course, certification fees Does not include: course materials, gas fills, scrubber, bailout cylinder and regulator, dive/boat fees, food, accommodations, transportation, personal dive equipment and comfort items Course Duration: 4 days, includes 9 dives (1 confined water, 2 either confined or open water, 6 open water dives) Hours: 8:00am - 6:00pm (because delays are more likely with rebreathers, be prepared to stay later) Qualifier Program Requirements: PADI Member CCR certification* *If not certified as PADI (Advanced) Rebreather Diver, student must complete all 5 Knowledge Reviews from PADI Rebreather Diver & Advanced Rebreather Diver Student Manual Price: $695 Includes: tuition, use of Hollis Explorer Sport Rebreather during course, certification fee Does not include: course materials, gas fills, scrubber, bailout cylinder and regulator, dive/boat fees, food, accommodations, transportation, personal comfort items 06 March 2013 Page 2 of 3 Course Duration: 2 days, includes 4 open water dives Hours: 8:00am - 6:00pm (because delays are more likely with rebreathers, be prepared to stay to stay later) What to Bring Copies of certifications, completed Knowledge Reviews (if required), mask, fins, appropriate exposure protection, if you can answer "yes" to any question on the Medical Statement, please bring a current (within 12 months) Medical Statement signed by a physician stating you are fit to dive, Hollis Explorer User's Manual (download) __________________________________________________________________ Instructor Level Programs for the Hollis Explorer PADI Instructor and Instructor Trainer Courses will be conducted on an "as needed" basis. If you are not a PADI Rebreather Instructor on another unit, the prerequisites are to: Be a renewed PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor or higher Be a PADI Enriched Air Instructor Be a PADI Deep Diver Specialty Instructor Be a PADI Advanced Rebreather Diver on the Hollis Explorer or have a qualifying certification from another training organization (candidate must complete the Knowledge Reviews from the PADI Rebreather Diver & Advanced Rebreather Diver Manual) Have a minimum of at least 150 dives of which 75 dives were made on a rebreather, with at least 50 dives and 50 hours on the Explorer Have Medical clearance attesting to dive fitness signed by a physician within the previous 12 months Attend and successfully complete a Rebreather Instructor Course with a qualified PADI Explorer Instructor Trainer If you are a PADI Rebreather or CCR Instructor, you need to: Be a renewed current PADI Rebreather Instructor or higher level PADI Tec CCR Instructor Have a minimum 30 hours and 30 dives on the Hollis Explorer Attend and successfully complete a PADI Additional Unit Rebreather Instructor Course with a PADI Explorer Instructor Trainer Contacts: John Conway, Hollis Rebreather Training Director, Explorer Instructor/IT [email protected] cell: 904-994-6586 Georgia Hausserman, PADI Training Consultant, Explorer Instructor/IT [email protected] cell: 310-508-3950 Kelly Rockwood, PADI Training Consultant [email protected] 800-729-7234, ext. 2240 06 March 2013 Page 3 of 3 .
