Talking Up Our Products With the weekly influx of new roleplaying titles, it’s almost impossible to keep track of every product in every RPG line in the adventure games industry. To help you organize our titles and to aid customers in finding information about their favorite products, we’ve designed a set of point-of-purchase dividers. These hard-plastic cards are much like the category dividers often used in music stores, but they’re specially designed as a marketing tool for hobby stores. Each card features the name of one of our RPG lines printed prominently at the top, and goes on to give basic information on the mechanics and setting of the game, special features that distinguish it from other RPGs, and the most popular and useful supplements available. The dividers promote the sale of backlist items as well as new products, since they help customers identify the titles they need most and remind buyers to keep them in stock. Our dividers can be placed in many ways. These are just a few of the ideas we’ve come up with: •A divider can be placed inside the front cover or behind the newest release in a line if the book is displayed full-face on a tilted backboard or book prop. Since the cards 1 are 11 /2 inches tall, the line’s title will be visible within or in back of the book. When a customer picks the RPG up to page through it, the informational text is uncovered. The card also works as a restocking reminder when the book sells.

Oral History Interview with Arigon Starr Interview Conducted by Julie Pearson-Little Thunder March 13, 2017 Spotlighting Oklahoma Oral History Project Oklahoma Oral History Research Program Edmon Low Library ● Oklahoma State University © 2017 Spotlighting Oklahoma Oral History Project Interview History Interviewer: Julie Pearson-Little Thunder Transcriber: Dakota Daves Editors: Rosalie Swingle, Micki White The recording and transcript of this interview were processed at the Oklahoma State University Library in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Project Detail The purpose of the Spotlighting Oklahoma Oral History Project is to document the development of the state by recording its cultural and intellectual history. This project was approved by the Oklahoma State University Institutional Review Board on April 15, 2009. Legal Status Scholarly use of the recordings and transcripts of the interview with Arigon Starr is unrestricted. The interview agreement was signed on March 13, 2017. 2 Spotlighting Oklahoma Oral History Project About Arigon Starr… Arigon Starr took her middle name for a last name because her family moved constantly with her Navy father and she got tired of coaching new teachers and her friends on how to pronounce Wahpecome. Kickapoo, Creek, Cherokee, and Seneca, Starr is equally at home in music, theater, comics, and graphic novels. After high school, she worked a variety of office jobs in Hollywood while performing her original music on the side. She is a long-time member of Native Voices at the Autry, which first tapped her as an actor and later helped promote her singing and composing talents in her one-woman musical, The Red Road, which also became a radio play.

Jane Hall: Hello and welcome to American Forum Café, a podcast production of the School of Communication at American University in Washington DC. I'm Jane Hall, I'm an associate professor here at SOC. I teach courses on politics in the media and advanced reporting. Before coming to AU I was a journalist covering the news media for many years in New York. In my Politics in the Media class we look at the intersection of contemporary politics and media coverage, and boy are politics and the media intersecting. Colliding, actually, and influencing each other. As part of my class students have the opportunity to participate in American Forum Town Halls and one on one conversations with journalists, political strategists, politicians, and other important players. My students in Advanced Reporting also play an important role in our programs. They are interviewing other college students about our topics as well as asking our guests questions during our events. Jane Hall: Recently, Congressman Steve Cohen, Democrat from Tennessee spoke with my classes and other students at AU. What you'll hear on this episode is the recording from that event. Congressman Cohen is best known for introducing Articles of Impeachment last year against Donald Trump. With the Democrats winning a majority in the House of Representatives impeachment had become a real possibility. And Congressman Cohen is chair of an important subcommittee on the House Judiciary Committee where impeachment could begin. He is playing an important role in other committees as well. He is the first Jewish Congressman from Tennessee, as well as he represents a majority black district.
