David Allyn, 25, was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa. After completion uf North High School, he attended Simpson College, a small liberal arts school a few miles south of Des Moines. During his junior year, he was a participant in the Scandinavian Seminar for Cultural Exchange and spent eight months at the Vastkustens Ungdomsskola on Sweden's west coast. He received his B.A. in 1959 and then continued his studies at Drake University in the Educational College. During the summer of 1960, he bicycled over 1200 miles through central and northern. Europe. His first teaching experience was at Washington High School in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The summer of 1961 was again spent in Europe, where he did independent study on the geography and history of southern European countries. The two years previous to his Peace Corps acceptance, he taught geography and world history in the Des Moines school system. His sweial hobbies include photography, tennis, and reading. He is married to Judy Rizer Allyn, a Peace Corps Trainee.

Judy Allyn, 23, is a native of Des Moines, Iowa. She attended East High School there from 1954 to 1957. Upon graduation, she enrolled at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa. Richard Annino, 22, was born in Springfield, Massachusetts. His home is in West Springfield, Massachusetts, where he received his high school diploma in 1958. David Ayres, 24, was born and spent his childhocd in the Boston area, where he graduated from Quincy High School in 1957. While in high school. he developed a considerable interest in the natural sciences, an interest which led him to specialize in physics during his next four years at Williams College. Teaching assistantships during his undergraduate years at Williams and during the following cwo graduate years at Berkeley interested him in teaching as a career. Administrative responsibilities at the Williams College radio station, study in various of the liberal disciplines at Williams, research work at Brookhaven national laboratories, and contact with International House at Berkeley supplemented his regular courses. In 1963, Dave received his M.A. in physics from the University of California; he hopes to return for his Ph.D. He enjoys such science-related activities as electronics, hi-fl and radio, but is also interested in literature, folk-singing, dancing, hikingand fishing.

Richard Annino, 22, was born in Springfield, Massachusetts . His home is in West Springfield, Massachusetts, where he received his hi& school diploma in 1958. Anne Beaman was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and after living a short while in Durham, North Carolina, moved to Poughkeepsie. New York, which is still her home. She graduated from Poughkeepsie High School in 1959 and entered Skidmore College, where she majored in art. Her summers have been spent at various jobs, including directing arts and crafts at camps and designing and pahting decorative murals for Wassaic State School. Actively interested in camping, canoeing, rockchbing, and slciing, Anne has spent portions of three summers camping in Canada, the Adirondacks and Maine with the Intercollegiate Outing Club Association.

Robert Belihar, 22, was born in Santa Monica. California, and moved to Utah at the age of five There he attended elementary school and secondary school, graduating from Spanish Fork High School in 1959. Upon completing high school, he entered Brigham Young University as a pre- medical student, majoring in zoology and minoring in chemistry. In addition to his interests in science, Bob speaks French well and has served four years of apprenticeship in sheet metal work. He enjoys tennis and golf, mountain climbing, hunting, and camping, and is also interested in church activities. He plans to enter meiical school.

Jon Betts, 25, was born in Richmond, Virghia, where he graduated from Benedictine High School in 1956. He then enrolled in industrial engineering in Virginia Polytechnic Institute, spending his summers doing construction work. In 1962, he completed his degree in indusnial engineering and joined the York Corporation in York, Pennsylvania, working in industrial design. He is a member of the American Institute of Industrial Engineers. In addition to his engineering interests, he enjoys sports, prticipating in tennis, swimming, and hunting. He hopes to work as a manager for a large firm.

Judith Bigelow, 22, was born in Flint, Michiganbut spent the first nineteen years of her life In Michigan's upper peninsula, at a summer resort owned by her parents. Upon the death of her father, she and her younger brother assumed full responsibility for managing the resort. Charles Briody, 21 was born and reared in Smithtown. Long Island. He graduated from Seton Hall in Patchogue in 1959. At Saint John's University, Jamaica, he continued his study of Latin, and chose classical languages for his major subject. He received his B.A. in classical language from that university in June of this year. The humanities constitute his outside interests as well. for he is an amateur poet and a student of comparative religion. Swimming is his favorite.;sport. and the one in which he is most competent. He intends to prepare for university teaching;& continuing his study of Latin and Greek literature at in New York City aftei completing his Peace Corps service.

At the end of ehe school year, she married Donal Brown, and together they went to New York for Peace Corps training. She intends to be a high school teacher.

Donal Brown, 24, was born in Palo Alto, California. He lived in Palo Alto for most of his life and went to both high school and college in the vicinity. Aft- his graduation from Stanford University in 1960, he went to the University of California where he received a General Second- ary Credential. At Stanford, he became interested in English too late to major in ir, but after receiving his teaching credential, he was hired as a summer English teacher at the Experiment in International Living and traveled to Poland. Ihe next year he returned to teaching, applied to the Peace Corps, and at the end of the year married Brenda Marie Acerbi. He is interested in cultural srudies, foreign and domestic, and almost all athletics. He intends to become an English teacher.

She received her M .A. in education from Stanford in 1962. During the academic year 1962-1963, she taught Russian history, geography, and English at Clayton Valley High School in Concord, California. During the second trip, she was with her husband, Joseph Miller, and they bicycled through France. She intends to teach college French. The following year she returned to California, where she earned her teaching credentials and later her B.A. For fifteen years she served as an elementary school teacher in the California public schools, during which time she secured the credentials for the position of elementary school principal or supervisor. With these credentials, she assumed the position of Reading Supervisor for the Solano County Schools. With the coming of the Second World War, she served for six and a half years on active duty with the Waves; although now on inactive duty, she still holds the rank of Lieutenant Commander. Following her period of active duty in the Waves, she served as Consultant in Primary Education on the staff of the Solano County Superintendent of Schools. She received her M .A. in education from the University of California in 1954. Since her retirement in 1%1, she has traveled the world and is, once again, ready for work.

He attended the public schools and graduated from Senn High School at the head of his high school class. In 1959, he received a B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of ?ethnology, with his major split between mathematics and electrical engineering; and the following year, working under a Cooperative Fellowship of the National Science Foundation, he was awarded an M .S. from the same institution for a thesis dealing with the relatively new field of Information Theory. The next academic year, he was at the University of Arizona as a half-time instructor in mathematics. He spent a year and a half in Paris, France, pursuing a doctorate in mathematics from l'Universit6 de Paris. At the end of 1%2, he left Prance for Corfu, Greece, where he worked on mathematics and finished a book which he had been writing about Ms.

Lewis Weeber, 24, was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In 1957, he graduated from Union High School, Grand Rapids, and entered Grand Rapids Junior College. Transferring to Calvin College, Michigan, he majored fq sociology and psychology. In 1961, he received his B.A. from Calvin. He did graduate work at Michigan State University, and in 1963 received his M.A. in sodwork. His social work training included placement at a Catholic Family Agency and at a V.A. psychiatric hospital. Summer jobs have included work as a hospital orderly and as a camp counselor for underprivileged children. His sports interests are softball, basketball, and tennis. He enjoys reading in the fields of religion and psychology, takhg walks, and prUcipating in discussions. He intends to mgke social work his profession.

For two years before starting college, she held several part and full- time jobs; these included being a receptionist for a TV station and a switchboard operator for a manufacturing company. Deciding to continue the art training which she had begun in high school, she entered Washington University in 1957; majoring in advertising design, she recdved a B.A. in 1961. Upon graduation, she worked one year as an advertising artist for an industrial soap manufacturer. At this time, she also began volunteer work at a Catholic children's hospiml; the work stimulated her interest in primary education. The past academic year, she has been teaching primary school in the Archdiocesan school system of St. Louis. Her hobbies are dress designing, sewing, sculpture, printmakhg, and the restoring of old furniture.

Robert Williamson, 28, was born and raised in Greenwood, South Carolina, and graduated from Greenwood High School in 1952. He attended the University of South Carolina, where he majored in business management. Shortly after receiving his B.S. in 1957, he served a six months tour of active duty with the armed forces. Following the completion of his military service, he worked for one year for Swift and Company in Columbia, South Carolina. Deciding upon teaching for a career, he entered Wofford College, Spartanburg, South Carolina,in the summer of 1959, and took courses in education. Since 1959, he has been teaching history, English, and general business in secondary schools in Georgia and South Carolina.
