Before the Media Contacts 2016/17 season the Cup Winners’s Cup has merged with the Women’s EHF Cup into one competition - the new Women’s EHF Cup. Just like in the men’s version of the EHF Cup, EHF Media and Communications the new competition also included the group phase preceded by qualification rounds and Vlado Brindzak followed by quarter-finals.
