Why I put myself forward as a representative ?

I do not feel represented. The old Clane Electoral (Clane, Kilcock, Prosperous, Rathcoffey and Derrinturn) has never had female representation. There is currently no representative of parents of young children. Fianna Fail and Fianna Gael have dominated the area since I became eligible to vote in 1987. As a Mother of a 4 year old and Manager of Kildare County Childcare Committee since 2004 I do not feel that the needs of children and families are I prioritized at council level. I have found that many

councilors are disconnected from parents day to day My key local priorities will be to realities.
