SHELL LAKE– At the WIAA Level 2 Football Playoffs for 8-Man teams, the Florence Bobcats came out running and gunning, punching the host Shell Lake Lakers early at Shell Lake with quick, big-hitting plays. But the Lakers proved resilient, withstanding what the Bobcats dished out, settling down, and then taking control of the contest on Friday, Nov. 1. The #1-seeded Lakers took advantage of many Florence errors as they pulled away for a big 39-6 victory, advancing to within one game of the WIAA State Tournament.
