Luis Venegas What to Read, Watch, Listen To, and Know About to Become a Bullet-Proof Style Expert
KUltur kriTik SChOol of FasHion Vol. 1: LuiS VEnegas What to read, watch, listen to, and know about to become a bullet-proof style expert. SULEMAN ANAYA (username: vertiz136) talked to the Spanish magazine mastermind LUIS VENEGAS about his list of references. coat, jacket, and pants: Lanvin Homme, waistcoat: Polo Ralph Lauren, shirt: Dior Homme, bow tie: Marc Jacobs, shoes: Pierre Hardy photo: Chus Antón, styling: Ana Murillas 195 KUltur SChOol kriTik of FasHion At 31, Luis Venegas is already a one-man editorial powerhouse. He produces and publishes three magazines that, though they have small print runs, have a near-religious following: the six-year-old Fanzine 137 – a compendium of everything Venegas cares about, Electric Youth (EY!) Magateen – an oversized cornucopia of adolescent boyflesh started in 2008, and the high- ly lauded Candy – the first truly queer fashion magazine on the planet, which was launched last year. His all-encompassing, erudite view of the fashion universe is the foundation for Venegas’ next big project: the fashion academy he plans to start in 2011. It will be a place where people, as he says, “who are interested in fashion learn about certain key moments from history, film and pop culture.” To get a preview of the curriculum at Professor Venegas’ School of Fashion, Suleman Anaya paid Venegas a visit at his apartment in the Madrid neighborhood of Malasaña, a wonderful space that overflows with the collected objects of his boundless curiosity. Alexander Mcqueen: El Horror Y La Belleza

Spring/Summer 2017 Tutti I Bambini Hanno Cuori Dolci Come Il Miele, Falli Crescere Con Cura E Affetto
All kids have hearts as sweet as honey; grow them with care and affection...and you realize they were born to give love. The truliest demonstration of love is the smile of a happy child. During summer the child always thin- ks about playing, dreaming of sandca- stles and blue sea. Nanan è un mondo d’incanto. Perdercisi è una favola. Nanan is an enchanted world. Getting lost in it is like a fairy tale. Children must be fond of magic, the real driving force in life. Christian Dior Exhibition in the UK
News Release Sunday 1 July 2018 V&A announces largest ever Christian Dior exhibition in the UK Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams The Sainsbury Gallery 2 February – 14 July 2019 vam.ac.uk | #DesignerofDreams “There is no other country in the world, besides my own, whose way of life I like so much. I love English traditions, English politeness, English architecture. I even love English cooking.” Christian Dior In February 2019, the V&A will open the largest and most comprehensive exhibition ever staged in the UK on the House of Dior – the museum’s biggest fashion exhibition since Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty in 2015. Spanning 1947 to the present day, Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams will trace the history and impact of one of the 20th century’s most influential couturiers, and the six artistic directors who have succeeded him, to explore the enduring influence of the fashion house. Based on the major exhibition Christian Dior: Couturier du Rêve, organised by the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris, the exhibition will be reimagined for the V&A. A brand-new section will, for the first time, explore the designer’s fascination with British culture. Dior admired the grandeur of the great houses and gardens of Britain, as well as British-designed ocean liners, including the Queen Mary. He also had a preference for Savile Row suits. In 1947, he hosted his first UK fashion show at London’s Savoy Hotel, and in 1952 established Christian Dior London. This exhibition will investigate Dior’s creative collaborations with influential British manufacturers, and his most notable British clients, from author Nancy Mitford to ballet dancer Margot Fonteyn. -
Dossier De Presse Expo Dior

Grace Bol Grace Bol Grace Bol RAM SHERGILL “ Growing up in the UK I had a dream… a dream that I could live my life through a kaleidoscope of different cultures” (Shergill, 2019) Ram Shergill captures a kaleidoscope of different cultures through his photography. His intercultural upbringing has been an asset in terms of his photographic explorations. Internationally recognised for his contribution to the industry, Ram remains at the forefront of his field, using both photography and fine art to create a discussion that questions the notion of identity, dress, and the power of performance. At the beginning of his photographic journey Ram Shergill worked with Milliner Philip Treacy on a project and was mentored into the world of fashion photography by Isabella Blow and Alexander McQueen. Ram was Awarded the Arts Culture and Theatre Award (ACTA) in 2016 for his contribution to photography. His work has been shown in exhibitions worldwide including Sotheby’s, The Victoria & Albert Museum, The Wallace Collection, Somerset House and the Whitechapel Gallery and many more internationally acclaimed galleries.
