2020 THURSDAY MARCH 5, 2020 7:00 PM Founder’s Memorial Amphitorium 1700 Wade Hampton Blvd. | Greenville, SC ABBY JOHNSON abbyjohnson.org Abby has always been fiercely determined to help women in need. This desire is what led her to a career with Planned Parenthood, our nation’s largest abortion provider, and caused her to flee the organization, becoming an outspoken advocate for the pro-life movement. Her memoir, Unplanned, was made into the 2019 movie of the same name. Abby travels across the globe sharing her story, educating the public on pro-life issues, advocating for the unborn, and reaching out to abortion clinic staff who still work in the industry. She is the founder of And Then There Were None, a ministry designed to assist abortion clinic workers in transitioning out of the industry. To date, this ministry has helped over 430 workers leave the abortion industry. PiedmontWomensCenter.org/DONATE Program WELCOME AND OPENING PRAYER A LOOK INSIDE PIEDMONT WOMEN’S CENTER KEYNOTE SPEAKER - ABBY JOHNSON CLOSING REMARKS - KELLY ROSS CLOSING PRAYER After the event, join us for cookies and fellowship outside PiedmontW Letter From Kelly It’s only unthinkable… “It’s only unthinkable if you don’t think it.” DABO SWINNEY When I first heard that statement, I chuckled about the funny way that sounded. As with many things Coach Swinney says, they strike me as funny until I take a moment to reflect on them. This simple statement after a hard-fought victory points to the creative and intellectual ability God has shared with all creation (especially those who call Him Father and trust in Him for Salvation). We are not called to think like the world, rather we are called to a God-sized vision. Romans 12:2 puts it like this, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will.” God, we welcome you to renew our minds! BECAUSE OF JESUS… • We are smarter than anyone in the pro-abortion industry. • We are more strategic than they are. • We are more creative than they are. • We are more passionate than they are. AND BECAUSE – WE HAVE GOD ON OUR SIDE. • We will see an end to abortion as we know it here in the Upstate • God will increase our territory! • God will give us all we need to serve others! • God will make our paths straight! Let’s renew our minds so we can think like God, dream-like God and, believe like God. After all… “it’s only unthinkable if you don’t think it” Dabo Many Blessings, Kelly A. Ross, CEO Piedmont Women’s Center Our Vision OUR VISION IS TO BE THE FIRST AND BEST CHOICE FOR ANYONE IMPACTED BY AN UNEXPECTED PREGNANCY OR PREVIOUS ABORTION, BY PROVIDING A PATHWAY OF HOPE THROUGH CHRIST. Our Mission AS A FAITH-BASED NON-PROFIT, PIEDMONT WOMEN’S CENTER EXISTS TO EDUCATE, EQUIP, AND EMPOWER THE UPSTATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA TO CHOOSE LIFE AND TO CHANGE LIVES. This was a significant date because on that same day in 1991 PWC opened its doors for the very first time. “It took us 28 years to get here but it was worth the wait” Kelly Ross, CEO. This new and larger facility allows PWC to increase pregnancy medical services, women’s health services and one on one parent focused mentoring. In May of 2019, PWC rolled out its new Sexual Health Initiative at the Grove Road office. South Carolina has the third-highest rate in the country for chlamydia and gonorrhea according to an analysis by Health Testing Centers, a company that provides STD testing. “This service allows us to speak the truth in love to those who are making unhealthy lifestyle choices,” Kelly said. “Additionally, this program provides us with another opportunity to share the Good News about Jesus”. Other new services offered since the opening on April 2, 2019, include one on one parent focused mentoring. This 10 session curriculum allows participants who faithfully complete the program to receive their choice of a new car seat or pack and play. These items are purchased through an agreement with safe kids Upstate. “This collaboration with Safe Kids means our clients receive education about how to use their new pack and play or the installation of their new car seat,” Ross said. Most recently PWC added pap smears to their women’s health services. Kelly states “Our desire is to be the first choice and best choice to anyone facing an unexpected pregnancy. By expanding our medical programs we can make the abortion provider obsolete.” She also reminded us that PWC offers its services for free due to the generosity of donors, churches and community partners. The same cannot be said for Greenville Women’s Clinic who charges for the services they offer. PiedmontWomensCenter.org/DONATE GROVE ROAD | GREENVILLE CLINIC UPDATE Greer, SC Generosity and stewardship are two words commonly used at Piedmont Women’s Center. In fact, the generosity of our donors allowed PWC to give its office at 100 Collins in Greer a much-needed face lift. The first phase of the Greer project was completed during the summer of 2019 and provided a new modern lobby, two updated client rooms and an ultrasound room with a completely redesigned bathroom. 2020 will hold even more change for the Greer facility; a medical lab will be added, the other areas will be improved. “This will allow clients to receive the same services at both PWC locations! ADMINISTRATIVE FACILITIES Re-Purposed Grove Road Building The PWC administrative offices have moved to 1146 Grove Road in Greenville. This office formerly served as the Grove Road clinic until it moved to its new location in April of 2019. This facility received a complete remodel; inside and out. This move allowed PWC to sell the property on Brushy Creek Road. “I be- lieve this move will allow us to be the best stewards of every- thing God has given us,” said Kelly. CLIENT TESTIMONIALS “The help I received was outstanding.” “Barbara (client advocate) was great! She was very caring and sweet! The prayers and concerns she showed me let me know she was whole-hearted.” Hannah “ I honestly love you guys and what you’ve done for me. I am going to miss you.” Tiffany “This organization is amazing, a God send, empathetic and sincere. My heart is overjoyed by the true concern and advocacy. Thank you All. Y’all are amazing!” “The love, respect, and camaraderie extended to me made this experience better than I had imagined. Thank you!” CONNECTION POINTS Got a few hours once a week?
