Williams left the Padres on July 16 to become the pitching coach at Liberty University. Jackson Quezada, who pitched for Fort Wayne in 2008 and 2010, has since taken over. He was previously coaching the DSL Padres.

RECORD-SETTER: Anthony Contreras won his 228th game as manager of the TinCaps on June 20 as he surpassed Doug Dascenzo (who won 227 games from 2007-09) for the most wins by a manager in franchise history.
