Its best-ever start was 20-1 to open the 2007-08 season. § Baylor hasn’t allowed an opponent to shoot 50 percent from the field in 151 straight games, dating back to March 25, 2006, against Maryland (NCAA Tournament Sweet 16). § In just 48 games, Brittney Griner has scored 927 points, thus needing 73 points to become the 28th Lady Bear to achieve the 1,000-point milestone. 2010-11 BAYLOR WOMEN’S BASKETBALL 2 HEAD COACH KIM MULKEY KIM MULKEY - HEAD COACH When Women's Basketball Hall of Famer Kim Mulkey accepted the position of women's basketball QUICK FACTS head coach at Baylor University a decade ago, few could have predicted the dramatic and prestigious transformation the program was about to undergo. In just 10 years at Baylor, the former Olympic Gold Education: Louisiana Tech, 1984 (B.A.) medalist has guided the Lady Bear basketball program to the pinnacle of women's basketball, the 2005 NCAA national championship, nine NCAA Tournament appearances and 10, 20-win seasons.
