OHSAA 2012 Football Radio Listing The OHSAA is pleased to once again compile a list of radio stations around the state that broadcast high school football games. Stations appearing on the list should confirm their plans to broadcast games in 2012 in order to appear in bold print on this list. Please contact Tim Stried at [email protected] and Paul Seiter at [email protected] to confirm plans or update information. In addition, stations have the opportunity to opt into one of two programs in conjunction with the OHSAA Radio Network that will result in a reduction or waiver of broadcast rights fees for football playoff games (normal fees range from $80 to $100). 2012 Football Plan A: Stations that carry at least three football state championship games of the OHSAA Radio Network shall not pay any broadcast rights fees for football playoff games the station broadcasts itself. Phone line charges or hook‐up fees may apply according to the site. 2012 Football Plan B: Stations that commit to carry one or two football state championship broadcasts of the OHSAA Radio Network shall pay only pay $25 for any playoff games they broadcast themselves. (“Clear Channel”), licensee of WJER-FM, Dover, Ohio, by its counsel, hereby submits this Petition for Rule Making, which proposes to delete Channel 269A at Dover, Ohio and allot Channel 269A at North Canton, Ohio as that community’s first local service. If this Petition is granted, Clear Channel will file an application for Channel 269A at North Canton and construct the facilities as authorized. The following table summarizes the changes requested in this Petition: City Channel Existing Proposed Dover. Ohio 269A -- North Canton. Ohio ___ 269A I. Technical Analvsis 1. As demonstrated in the Technical Exhibit, Channel 269A can be allotted to North Canton at coordinates 40-48-30 North Latitude, 81-23-31 West Longitude consistent with Section 73.207 of the Commission’s Rules with respect to all existing and proposed domestic allotments and facilities. See Figure 1. A 70 dBu signal can be provided to North Canton from od4 the proposed reference coordinates. See Figure 4. The relocation of WJER-FM from Dover to North Canton will result in a predicted net gain in population of 306,944 persons within the WJER-FM 60 dBu contour. See Technical Narrative. The entire loss area will continue to receive at least 5 other aural services and will thus remain well served.

In addition, stations have the opportunity to request a waiver of playoff broadcast rights fees in exchange for carrying selected state championship broadcasts of the OHSAA Radio Network. 2016 Football Plan A: Stations that carry three or more football state championship game broadcasts of the OHSAA Radio Network shall not pay any broadcast rights fees for football playoff games they broadcast. (Phone line charges or hook‐up fees may apply according to the site.) 2016 Football Plan B: Stations that carry one or two football state championship game broadcasts of the OHSAA Radio Network shall pay a reduced broadcast rights fee of $25 2016‐17 Events Football Playoffs Preview Show, Nov. 1 for football playoff games they broadcast.
