Rahul Chaudhari was the second highest bid player, bid by Delhi but retained by Telugu Titans via FBM for INR 1.29 crores Deepak Niwas Hooda was the third highest bid player, bought by Jaipur Pink Panthers for INR 1.15 crores. Rishank Devadiga was the fourth highest bid player, bought by U.P Yoddha for INR 1.11 crores. Fazel Atrachali became the first ever crorepati in VIVO Pro Kabaddi history, bought by U Mumba for INR 1 crore MUMBAI, MAY 30th, 2018: VIVO PRO Kabaddi, successfully concluded the first day of the Player Auction in Mumbai. The first day of the auction saw the 1 crore barrier breached six times with Monu Goyat leading the way to VIVO Pro Kabaddi history. Day 1 was dominated by New Young Players and Category-A stars, with franchises finding the perfect balance between experienced and young players to craft winning teams. Star Marquee players Rahul Chaudhari, Monu Goyat and Deepak Niwas Hooda were the top buys in the auction, picked up by teams Telugu Titans, Haryana Steelers and Jaipur Pink Panthers respectively. Seeing kabaddi on such a high platform is a great feeling as there were 6 players who fall in the crore club, and none of us expected to see kabaddi have such a tremendous change. All I can say is that we as kabaddi players couldn’t be happier.” Rahul Chaudhari speaking on being retained with Telugu Titans said, “I am very happy that my team has retained me, and I am glad to be back to Telugu Titans. Every year the league witnesses’ massive jumps along with a tremendous growth in fan following and I am extremely happy to be a part of the Pro Kabaddi family. Mumbai, May 13, 2016: Pro Kabaddi, a premier league initiative by Mashal Sports and Star India, today conducted a successful player auction for its forthcoming season 4 in Mumbai. The auction netted a total price of INR 12.82cr for 96 players, from a list of 198 players available for the auction. The focus of all franchise owners was to competitively equip their respective teams for a brand new season of fierce skill and rivalry. The highest bid for this year’s auction was Mohit Chhillar who was bagged by Bengaluru Bulls for a whopping amount of INR 53 lacs; against the base price of INR12 lacs. The top five players in the overseas category saw high interest from all franchisees. Fazel Atrachali from Iran went to Patna Pirates for INR 38 lacs. South Korean star player Jang Kun Lee was retained by Bengal Warriors for INR 22 lacs. Hadi Oshtorak who was the highest bidded player from Season 2 by Telugu Titans kept up his impressive run in Pro Kabaddi and was bagged by Patna Pirates for INR 8 lacs. Iranian all-rounder Meraj Sheykh went to Dabang Delhi K.C. for 19 lacs.
