Attachment 9: Employment and Labour Market Advisory Working GroupEX11.1 Terms of 2 Reference Preamble Ontario Gaming GTA LP (OGGLP or "the Partnership") is committed to ensuring the Woodbine renewal is a force for positive change in the GTA – particularly for nearby neighbourhoods and for residents who are at a social or economic disadvantage. To this end, the Partnership has designed a 20-year Employment and Labour Market Plan that will align with the City’s ongoing work and exceed the Partnership’s already-strong practices across Canada to create thousands of high-quality jobs, establish valuable skills training programs, and facilitate equitable access to the unique opportunity afforded by redevelopment. Based on extensive discussions with City Staff and other stakeholders, the core of the Partnership’s Employment and Labour Market Plan is a collaborative approach to strengthening the employment pathway for local residents and equity-seeking groups. The Partnership’s core strength as a private sector job creator is hiring, training, and upskilling team members, with redevelopment and enhanced operations leading to increased labour market demand. Meanwhile, a strong cluster of City and social sector organizations are primarily focused on identifying, strengthening, and supporting a pool of candidates, with a focus on local residents, youth, and disadvantaged groups. When each player in this employment ecosystem is helping to build and strengthen program alignment, this plan will help to ensure that supply and demand connect. Through the Employment and Labour Market Advisory Working Group, OGGLP will work with the City of Toronto and key stakeholders in order to monitor inputs and outcomes and receive feedback that will allow its plans to be measured and strengthened. -

Regional Express Rail Update
Clause 5 in Report No. 10 of Committee of the Whole was adopted by the Council of The Regional Municipality of York at its meeting held on June 23, 2016 with the following additional recommendation: 3. Receipt of the memorandum from Daniel Kostopoulos, Commissioner of Transportation Services, dated June 22, 2016. 5 Regional Express Rail Update Committee of the Whole recommends adoption of the following recommendations contained in the report dated June 1, 2016 from the Commissioner of Transportation Services: 1. Metrolinx be requested to mitigate the impacts of Regional Express Rail service by addressing the gap between their Initial Business Case for Regional Express Rail and York Region’s needs for grade separations, additional GO stations and parking charges. 2. The Regional Clerk circulate this report to Metrolinx, Ontario Ministry of Transportation and Clerks of the local municipalities. STAFF REPORT ACTION REQUIRED Lake Shore Boulevard West - Speed Limit Reduction Date: March 29, 2007 To: Etobicoke York Community Council From: Director, Transportation Services - Etobicoke York District Wards: Ward 6 – Etobicoke-Lakeshore Reference eycc070058-to - 4757 Number: SUMMARY The purpose of this report is to obtain approval to reduce the speed limit on Lake Shore Boulevard West, between Mimico Creek and Palace Pier Court, from 60 km/h to 50 km/h. Given the existence of Toronto Transit Commission’s (TTC) streetcar tracks on the majority of this section of Lake Shore Boulevard West and the curved road alignment east of the F.G. Gardiner Expressway on-ramp/Brookers Lane, a lower (50 km/h) speed limit is justified and recommended. In addition, the proposed 50 km/h speed limit on Lake Shore Boulevard West between Mimico Creek and Palace Pier Court will provide for a consistent speed limit on this road in the Etobicoke York Community. RECOMMENDATIONS Transportation Services recommends that: 1. City Council approve the reduction of the speed limit on Lake Shore Boulevard West between Mimico Creek and Palace Pier Court from 60 km/h to 50 km/h. NEWS Ministry of Transportation Ontario Partners with Business to Build New Etobicoke GO Station Improving the transit experience and making life easier for Ontarians October 25, 2018 8:00 A.M. TORONTO — Ontario's Government for the People is keeping its promise to build transit and make Ontario open for business by working with the private sector to build commuters a new, modern station at Mimico GO. This station is the product of a new kind of partnership. This project will optimize the use of government-owned land and increase transit ridership by building a new development along an existing transit line. We are improving the transit experience and making life easier for Ontarians. Today John Yakabuski, Minister of Transportation, Steve Clark, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, Kinga Surma, Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Transportation, Christine Hogarth, MPP, Etobicoke-Lakeshore, and Phil Verster, President and CEO, Metrolinx, visited the Mimico GO Station to announce that Ontario had signed a non-binding Letter of Intent with Vandyk Group of Companies. Metrolinx and Vandyk will negotiate the construction of a new Mimico GO Station. "We are making it easier for people commuting in the GTHA," said Minister Yakabuski. "The new station we are building at Mimico is part of our plan to improve service on the Lakeshore West line to every 15 minutes or better. By working with businesses to develop this site, we are delivering on our promise that Ontario is open for business, while we get this work done at a lower cost to the taxpayer." The new Mimico GO Station will include a new, accessible station building, pedestrian tunnels and elevators, refurbished platforms and new entrances to the station and below grade parking. -

No change is required for April 2018. The schedules taking effect on Sunday, May 13, 2018 will reflect a resumption of streetcar service through to Long Branch Loop. Actual implementation depends on construction status. 501L buses from Long Branch will loop via Humber Loop if a workable route can be devised, but otherwise they will loop at Windermere and connect with streetcar service there. It spans 903 square kilometres, from the headwaters on the Niagara Escarpment and Oak Ridges Moraine down through fertile clay plains to the marshes and river mouth on Lake Ontario. The watershed provides many benefits to the people who live in it. It is a source of drinking water drawn from wells or from Lake Ontario. Unpaved land absorbs water from rain and snowfall to replenish groundwater and streams and reduce the negative impacts of flooding and erosion. Healthy aquatic and terrestrial habitats support diverse communities of plants and animals. Agricultural lands provide local sources of food and green spaces provide recreation opportunities.
