Last season, Georgia won its seventh overall NCAA Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships, the Lady Bulldogs’ third in the last four years. Texas A&M finished in fourth place for the fourth consecutive year, while Missouri came in 11th place and Tennessee took 13th place. Florida came in 19th place, while Kentucky rounded out the top 25 for the SEC by placing 22nd. On the women’s side, the SEC’s total of NCAA individual titles now stands at 251. Since 1982, the Southeastern Conference has placed 99 women’s teams in the top 10 at the NCAA Championships. At the 2016 NCAA Division I Men’s Swimming & Diving Championships, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Missouri and Auburn each earned spot within the top 10 teams at the event, marking the 47th consecutive season in which the SEC has placed at least one men’s team in the top 10. Since 1969, 128 SEC teams have finished in the NCAA’s top 10. MEN’S NOTES WOMEN’S NOTES • The SEC has had 11 NCAA Men’s Swimming & Diving • The SEC has had 14 NCAA Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships titles: Tennessee - 1978; Florida - 1983 & Championships titles: Florida – 1982, 2010; Georgia – 1999, 1985; Auburn - 1997, 1999, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2000, 2001, 2005, 2013, 2014, 2016; Auburn – 2002, 2003, 2009. 2004, 2006, 2007. • 2016 marked the 47th consecutive year that the SEC • With Georgia earning the top spot at the 2016 NCAA has had at least one team in the top 10 of the NCAA Men’s Championships, an SEC school has finished either first or Swimming & Diving Championships. The SEC has placed a second in the Championships since 1999.
