QUALIFICATIONS: The applicant should have an interest in music, be able to write good English and translate scripts into Nauruan or English.

LEGAL PRACTITIONERS ACT 1973 PLEADERS (TRAINING AND EXAMINATIONS) (AMENDMENT) RULES 1984

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred on me by Section 57 of the Legal Practitioners Act 1973, I hereby make the following Rules ­ 5.

TITLE AND COMMENCEMENT

1. (1) These Rules may be cited as the Pleaders Training and Examinations) (Amendment) Rules 1984.

(2) They shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 1st day of August 1982.

THE PRINCIPAL RULES

2. In these Rules "the Principal Rules" means the Pleaders (Training and Exa!1linations) Rules 1975 as amended from time to time.

N 3. Rule 3 of the Principal Rules" is amended by deleting the words and figures "before the first January 1977", wherever occuring and by inserting in lieu therof the words "before such date as he may, from time to time, determine."

APPOINTMENT OF INSTRUCTORS AND EXAMINERS, ETC.

4. The Chief Justice may ­

(i) for the training of pleaders under these rules appoint such instructors and fix such periods in relation to each course of instruction, as he may, from time to time, consider fit;

(ii) for the conduct of examinations under , these rules, from time to time, fix such dates of examinations and either act himself as examiner in relation to all or any of the subjects of examinations or appoint such examiners, as he may consider fit.

DELETION OF THE FIRST SCHEDULE AND INSERTION OF ~EW SCHEDULE IN LIEU THEREOF.

5. The First Schedule to the Principal Rules is deleted and the following new schedule is inserted in lieu thereof:­
