It was an important storyline since much from her past was revealed, but at times, the art was awkward, and Chikage's insecurity is borderline psychotic. I find I enjoy her more as Akari. This is probably by design. After all, if Chikage wasn't so pathetic, there wouldn't be a need to turn her into Akari. However, I have to wonder if the mangaka, Tanemura, doesn't think much of Chikage either. She doesn't draw her as well as she does Akari.
