Ann additional sport fee will be added based on the sport participated in. If you are mailing in your registration form, send it to Utah Summer Games Registration, 351 West University Blvd, Cedar City, UT 84720. Use the Individual Registration Form. After completing your USG registration, please go to the following link to submit your CCEC class entries https://rwch.wufoo.com/forms/ccec-reining-working-cowhorse-show/ REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Final online registration is due by Thursday, June 16, at 10:00 AM. NO POST ENTRIES VENUE: Iron Ranger Arena – Cross Hollow Event Center 11 N Cross Hollow Drive Cedar City, UT SCHEDULES: CHECK-IN: Equestrian - Reining/Working Cow Athletes need to check in at the Cross Hollows Event Center on Saturday, June 20, between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM. Each athlete will receive a welcome packet containing the official Utah Summer Games Athlete shirt and other assorted goodies. REINING & WORKING COW HORSE CLASSDESCRIPTIONS AND RULES Page | 1 UTAH SUMMER GAMES EQUESTRIAN – REINING & WORKING COW HORSE WORKING COW HORSE CLASSES Class # Name of Class Description 60 Green As Grass Riders 1st year in Working Cow Horse. May ride any age horse in any bridle (one handed in shank bit or two-hands with snaffle or hackamore). Trainers new to WC may compete in this class for one (1) year only. 61 Rookie Rider may have shown in Green as Grass, but not quite ready for Amateur and above classes. May stay in Rookie until you win year-end high point and then must move up the following year. May ride any age horse in any bridle (one handed in shank bit or two-hands with snaffle or hackamore). Trainers new to WC may compete in Rookie for one year only (simultaneous competition in Green as Grass and Rookie counts as one (1) year in both). 62 Youth 17 & under Boxing only. (Same rules as Amateur) 63 Amateur 18 & over Boxing only. Non-Pro only. You may NOT have received money for training or riding someone else’s horse. Horses 5 years and younger may be ridden two handed in a snaffle bit or hackamore. Horses 6 years and older must be ridden one handed in a bridle. 64 Junior Horse – Open Horse must be 5 years or younger. May be ridden two hands in a snaffle bit or hackamore or one handed in a bridle. Year end points follow the horse. 65 Junior Horse – Non-Pro Same as Junior Horse Open EXCEPT rider cannot have received any remuneration in any form for training, riding, 66 Senior Horse – Open Horse must be 6 years or older. Must be ridden one handed in a bridle. Year end points follow the horse 67 Senior Horse – Non-Pro Same as Senior Horse Open EXCEPT rider cannot have received any remuneration in any form for training, riding, 78 Never Won A Buckle Any age individual on any age horse that has never won a buckle in any category and cannot have shown professionally or for clients. This class is for Utah Summer Games show in REINING CLASSES Class # Name of Class Description 68 Green as Grass Rider’s 1st year in Reining. May ride any age horse in any bridle (one handed in shank bit or two-hands with snaffle or hackamore). Year end points follow the horse. 74 Junior Horse – Non-Pro Same as Junior Horse Open EXCEPT rider cannot have received any remuneration in any form for training, riding, 75 Senior Horse – Open Horse must be 6 years or older. Year end points follow the horse. 76 Senior Horse – Non-Pro Same as Senior Horse Open EXCEPT rider cannot have received any remuneration in any form for training, riding, 77 Freestyle Reining Any age individual on any age horse may perform a routine to music, exhibiting reining maneuvers in any combination.
