Qatar’s Abdulrahman Abdulqader won the gold medal in men’s Shot Put (F34) event, with an eff ort of 11.38 metres in a new achievement for the Qatari sport while Sarah Masoud clinched silver medal in women’s Shot Put (F33) event with an eff ort of 5.39 metres. The honorees list also included Hamad Jaber al-Behaih, Saud al-Sulaiti, Khalifa al-Dosari and Abdullah al-Manai, who par- ticipated in the 2017 Special Olympics World Winter Games held in Austria. During the ceremony, HE Sheikh Joaan extended his thanks and appreciation to the members of the Qatar paralympic team ex- pressing his pride at the achievements at the last world Para-Athletics championships held in London and earlier events, including the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
