The Hip Hop Legends Tour is the extension of 2019s “Throwback Jam” which celebrated the 20th anniversary of U92 signing on the air in Salt Lake City. The show now includes headliner Ludacris on stage with Ja Rule, Fat Joe, E-40, Xzibit, and DJ Quik. Ludacris is an rapper, actor, and founder of Disturbing Tha Peace record label from Atlanta, Georgia. He is a recipient of a Screen Actors Guild, Critic’s Choice, MTV, and 3 Grammy Awards. Ludacris gained mainstream success in the early 2000s and was featured in Forbes list of “Hip-Hop Cash Kings”. In addition to his mainstream success, Ludacris has gained notoriety as an actor in the Fast & Furious movie franchise. U92 is a Rhythmic Top 40 radio station which is locally owned in Salt Lake City, Utah. The station celebrated its 20th anniversary on air in February 2019. U92 is known for breaking music in the Rhythmic Top 40 format having been the first station in the U.S. to play several hit records from Rihanna, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Ice Cube, The Black Eyed Peas, and more. U92 was named the Rhythmic Station of the Year in 2010 by industry trade publication, FMQB. The radio station continues to be a leader in the Rhythmic Top 40 format across the country.
