Conversations with Kurt Lipstein, Emeritus Professor of Comparative Law: Some reminiscences over seventy years of the Squire Law Library and the Faculty of Law, University of Cambridge LESLEY DINGLE∗ AND DANIEL BATES∗∗ Introduction At the time of these interviews, conducted in the Squire Law Library in April and May 2005, Kurt Lipstein was 96 years old and had been associated, in various capacities, with the Library and the Faculty of Law at Cambridge University for over seventy years.269 Kurt was born in Frankfurt am Main, Germany on 19th March 1909.
