Wsf World Masters' Championships 1983 Perth - F1 - WSF WORLD MASTERS’ CHAMPIONSHIPS 1. INTRODUCTION When the British Open was staged in London in February 1976 it incorporated the inaugural World Open Championship. Additionally, the ISRF (now WSF) accorded similar status to Veterans and Vintage events (the colloquial titles for the Over 45 and Over 55 age groups). Following this age group events became appended to various world team and individual championships until 1991. In that year New Zealand hosted the first World Masters Championships, which were staged purely for mature age players. 2.
