Waste Management Rules, amended time to time & they are disposing their waste to TSDF/CHWIF/registered recycler under Rule-9/Co-processing and as per consented conditions (PRS of River Amlakhadi)

(vii) Ground water regulation GWRDC has given details about the recently framed draft bill titled “Conservation, Protection, Regulation and Management of Ground Water in Gujarat State” in the meeting held on 04/02/2020 at GPCB with PRS Assessment Team nominated by Ministry of Jal Shakti which is in process and within 3 months to be submitted to the Assembly. Construction work started (Timeline- Dec-2020) iii) Shifting of washing ghats:- Still shifting of washing ghat not done due to treated waste water disposal problems. Deep Sea Disposal Pipeline for PRS Gujarat

• An unprecedented initiative, deep sea disposal pipeline projects to eliminate Industrial Footprint from River Sabarmati and Bhadar worth Rs. 2147 Crore as stated below have been given approval by State Government vide GR dated 26/11/2019.: 1. Ahmedabad (Priority I) (300 MLD) (Rs. 1478 Cr.) 2. Jetpur (Priority I) (80 MLD) (Rs. 669 Cr.) • For Ahmedabad, 70% contribution of Capex will be from State Government and 30% from industries. For Jetpur, 80% contribution of Capex will be from State Government and 20% from industries. Opex will be entirely borne by the industries. • State Government has allotted budget of Rs. 500 Cr. for the financial year 2019-2020 for the entire pipeline project. • Industrial Associations have also deposited their first installment of 10 % of project cost towards capital cost contribution. • State Government has allotted pipeline projects to Industries & Mines Department and execution of the project will be done by Gujarat Water Infrastructure Ltd (GWIL) as depository work. • Gujarat Water Infrastructure Ltd (GWIL) has already invited tender for appointing Project management Consultant for execution of the projects. • DPRs are prepared and are under vetting by Gujarat Water Infrastructure Ltd (GWIL).

The same is also included in above project.

• Secretary (Water Supply) and Chairman, GWSSB informed the estimated project cost varies with respect to the original sanctioned cost by NRCD. • For 17 villages, DPR cost was RS 115 crore (without O&M). Now revised cost : Capital cost-99.65 Cr & 7 yr O&M cost -71.79 Cr . Total cost - Rs 171 crore (with 7 year O&M) • Presently only sewage interception and treatment are considered for villages near creek. It won’t be technically feasible to collect sewage from open drains as storm water and other solid waste may also enter in creek. • Each creek receives sewage from more than 5 villages so 26 more villages will have to be planned with complete UGD system and STP with 7 years O&M. • Thus tentative project cost for additional villages may be around Rs.146 crore .Total revised tentative project cost may be around Rs.320 crore
