Tape enclosed. Just as certainly, those familiar with ReeceÕs work have something to say: Deborah Reece has one of the richest voices IÕve ever heard. Add her terrific work ethic, and youÕve got a top notch combination for any project. Ð Kelly McCoy WSB Radio Group I call upon Deborah Reece regularly for top quality voiceover work for video and film production. Her voice communicates four qualities I look for: Distinctiveness, Personality, Intelligence, and Friendliness. When I audition her voice with other narrators, my clients nearly always select Ms. Reece. She is a consummate professional Ð prepared, on-target, efficient and friendly. You would think that what she does is easy! Ð Dan Sperling Video & Film Productions Georgia Addy & Emmy Award Winner Deborah Reece is a voiceover goddess! Ð Jeff Batten Batten Communications As a radio announcer, Reece has a decade-plus experience in varied formats from A.C. to Rock, Country to Jazz, even Classical: Deborah has what I call a Nordstrum/K-Mart voice: one that appeals to all strata of society. ThatÕs why I chose her to be the imaging voice of KJAZ. SheÕs a discovery. Ð Lawrence Tanter Program Director - KJAZ, Los Angeles/San Diego Voice of the L.A. Lakers She has a talent for production, and can do various accents as needed. Deborah is also a hard worker, dependable, and a joy to be around. She is a most talented singer as well. My recommendation is to hire her without a second thought. YouÕll never find anyone better. She is great! Ð H. Randolph Holder, Sr. Chairman - Clarke Broadcasting Corporation Beyond radio ad production and copy writing, Reece has both voiceover and on-camera experience in industrial video, utilizing acting and script editing skills in that medium. Reece possesses the range of style and approach essential to a professional voice talent. In past projects, she has mastered highly technical scripts in the fields of law CONTINUEDÉ DEBORAH REECE BIO CONTINUED and engineering. She has effectively delivered highly sensitive, emotionally charged pieces on topics ranging from addiction to date rape. And her more lighthearted informational presentations, as in work for Flambro Inc., are equally winning. That range is no less apparent in ReeceÕs work as a vocalist. Her abilities run the gamut from soft harmony, torch, folk, pop and rock, to muscular, melodic soul singing, making her a natural for jingle work, demo singing, and session work. Over the last decade, Reece worked as a lead singer based out of Athens, Ga., fronting and guesting in a variety of bands, playing virtually every relevant venue in Atlanta, Athens, and points throughout the southeast. Plat Eye Blue, her 5-piece blues rock unit was selected for AtlantaÕs 1992 New South Music Showcase. The band was co- produced by former Atlantan Mark Richardson whose production/engineering credits include Drivin N Cryin, Smashing Pumpkins, The Georgia Satellites, Emmy Lou Harris, and Mark OÕConnor among others. (See Allmusic.com) Reece has thus established a reputation that has gained the attention of Atlanta/AthensÕ finest musicians. R.E.M. producer John Keane, whose credits also include The Cowboy Junkies and 10,000 Maniacs, has called on her for harmonies and embellishments on many a session for recording artists from indie labels to the majors. R.E.M. drummer Bill Berry has called on her to add backing vocals for independent projects. Reece is has served as backup and featured vocalist for The Randall Bramblett Band (New West Records, Capricorn Records), and for NashvilleÕs Diane Durrett (Glass House Records). Randall Bramblett is a founding member of Sea Level, and an accomplished singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He has worked with industry greats such as Gregg Allman, Levon Helm, and most recently, Steve Winwood. At a show at the Grand Opera House in Macon, Ga., BramblettÕs former Sea Level bandmate, Chuck Leavell (Keys for the Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, and The Allman Brothers) joined the group for a few numbers, and caught the bandÕs recent material as an audience member. Said Leavell to Reece, ÒIt was a pleasure and a privilege to hear you sing.Ó Deborah Reece has a wide range of music styles that weÕve worked with: rock, pop, blues, jazz - sweet and rough! She has provided outstanding lead vocals on four assignments to date. Our most recent project was a corporate music video for CIBA Vision. The client was positively thrilled with her rendition of a blues song. I donÕt say it lightly and I donÕt say it metaphorically when I say that Ms. Reece has a world class vocal talent. She simply does! Ð Dan Sperling Video & Film Productions Speaking or singing, this is a voice that understands what every utterance is meant to do. This is a voice Ð that gets across. • What Turmoil Overseas Means for Your Money
Money Watch March 8, 2011 What Turmoil Overseas Means for Your Money Mark Lloyd is president and founder of The Lloyd Group, Inc. and host of “Focus on Your Retirement,” a weekly radio program devoted to helping retirees in the greater Atlanta area protect their assets. Mark recently appeared on WAGA Fox 5 Atlanta to provide valuable information to investors about what headlines about turmoil overseas mean for their monthly statement and bottom line. Fox 5’s Karen Graham: With everything we’re hearing about turmoil overseas, rising oil prices and recent stock market dips, many investors may be asking themselves, “What does this mean for me?” Mark Lloyd: I think investors are more prepared for it now than ever. In 2008 we had some surprises due to the financial meltdown on Wall Street. With the crisis overseas, and oil prices rising and falling, the market will adjust. We need to be educated about the issues, but we don’t need to panic. With our clients, we actually look at this as an opportunity. When stocks lower, it’s buying time. Now we can get some deals, value stocks and bonds, and prepare to pick up some of these gains when the market turns around again. Karen Graham: Being prepared is very important when the economy shifts like this. Mark Lloyd: More importantly, investors must be truly diversified, meaning involvement with all types of asset classes. Take advantage of small-cap investing, value investing, international, emerging markets, etc. In the last year and a half, we saw our emerging market funds go up 90 percent in one year and an additional 20 percent in 2010.
