ELECTRONIC DANCE MUSIC RISING STAR JONAS BLUE TAKES STAGE FOR FREE CONCERT AT TEMPE MARKETPLACE Breakout singer, songwriter, producer brings chart-topping singles to concert on Nov. 18

What: Shoppers are in for an electrifying evening as electronic dance music sensation currently taking the world by storm, Jonas Blue takes The District Stage at Tempe Marketplace at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 18 for a FREE concert.

One of the most popular EDM stars on the music scene today, London-based Blue’s music, with its exhilarating beats and seamless transitions, is both exciting and fresh. Mixing pop and classic dance music with the likes of tropical house, he has developed a unique sound, which fills a significant void on the UK music scene. Blue’s breakout single, “Perfect Strangers,” which was released in June, has captured more than 135 million YouTube views.

Who: Jonas Blue, an English DJ, record producer, songwriter and remixer has built a name for himself producing music, which blends pop and dance genres to create a distinctive and adrenaline-charged sound. Blue found success releasing a cover of Tracy Chapman’s 1988 single “Fast Car,” which peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart. Remaining in the top 10 for 11 weeks the song also reached number one in Germany, Sweden, Australia and New Zealand, as well as the number one spot on the US viral chart on Spotify.

“Perfect Strangers,” featuring Grammy-nominated JP Cooper, is following suit, having already been certified platinum in the UK, double platinum in Australia and gold in New Zealand. The track also propelled Blue to a coveted 1 billion streams across all of his tracks and videos, along with a nomination for Best Push at the 2016 MTV EMAs.
