BREAKTHROUGH EVENT TO DRAW NFL STARS, TOP BUSINESS MINDS TO JOHNSON CONTROLS HALL OF FAME VILLAGE ATHLETES AND VISIONARY LEADERS WILL CULTIVATE LEGACY OF EXCELLENCE, VALUES-DRIVEN LEADERSHIP IN ‘THINK TANK’ ATMOSPHERE

CANTON, OHIO — September will kick off the first of many exciting events at the world-class Johnson Controls Hall of Fame Village at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. Through the inaugural LEGACY Leadership Huddle, set for Sept. 12-14, 2017, roughly 50 of the nation’s best and brightest business leaders will converge with greatest players in the game’s history to connect and brainstorm ideas through inspiring messages, personal reflection, and transformational dialogue.

The work of these passionate, values-driven leaders will drive future programming at The Center for EXCELLENCE, a major component of Johnson Controls Hall of Fame Village. Their efforts will be designed to purposefully cultivate ideas and develop leadership excellence as a legacy for future senior executives and organizations around the world.

“Our mission, values and vision at the Hall of Fame focuses on the celebration of excellence everywhere, and developing and engaging top leadership is an ideal way to accomplish that,” said David Baker, Pro Football Hall of Fame President & CEO. “We know this will be an inspiring event that will lay the groundwork for all that we ultimately do at The Center for EXCELLENCE for Corporate America’s leadership training programs.”

At the LEGACY Huddle, the executive leaders will split into five teams, each led by a Gold Jacket (a term used for living Hall of Famers) — all spectacular leaders, innovative businessmen, and community activists themselves. These “Heroes of the Game” will COMMITMENT • INTEGRITY • COURAGE • RESPECT • EXCELLENCE lead interactive sessions aimed at providing critical perspective toward achieving the values and excellence that lead to success. The Gold Jackets committed to “captaining” teams are DWIGHT STEPHENSON, ANTHONY MUÑOZ, , , and .

“Through this benchmark event, we plan to really dig into the critical leadership attributes that successfully develop organizations of excellence,” said Ruth Lund, President of American Business Awards 2017 Company of the Year the LEGACY Center, a co-creator of the LEGACY Huddle. “The work they do in this innovative ‘think tank’ atmosphere will provide lots of foundational ideas we’ll use in maximizing the potential of The Center for EXCELLENCE going forward.”

The $700 million Johnson Controls Hall of Fame Village is scheduled for completion in 2020 to coincide with the NFL’s Centennial Celebration.
