Both their coach and assistant came over to advise they After the long break Kew hit us with everything thought the efforts and play of our team was way dominating the quarter and if it were not for our better than the scoreboard indicated and I have to say defence the game could have been lost at three I think the same. It seems silly but I thought our boys quarter time. Matt saved a couple of goals on the line played a really good game and gave it everything and with desperation and Pat H was getting plenty of that is all we ever ask of our team. Well done boys. possessions deep in defence. I asked Will for a special I am very proud of a number of the boys games but a effort during the quarter and he finished the quarter in special mention to Hugh and Josh who played out of great style winning plenty of contested ball. The their skins. Josh has come a long way and the forwards only had the one opportunity and confidence he has picked up is obvious. He is now unfortunately just missed however they were able to becoming very consistent. Hugh has been good every hold the ball in a forward line for long enough to give time he has played. Two other boys get a wrap. Lachie the defence a rest. Jeremy was working his way into Kemp and Sam Melbourne are improving boys and the game with some aggressive running off halfback both are working seriously on getting better. Match Report: Ashy U/15 Green - no match report Again at Burwood Reserve for our contest versus …………………………………………………… Beverley Hills. Being positioned 4th on the ladder, it was important for not only us to win to stay ahead of the challengers but also to play well against bottom sides after a couple of mediocre performances in recent weeks.

Whilst we lost a couple of players to long term or season ending injuries, it was good to see a few players return from the injury / sickness list. Match Report: Ouch! Third loss in a row and this one really hurt. A win would have all but cemented a spot for the Greens in the top two for the finals (albeit they are some way off), but now that position is precarious and on current form so is a berth in the top four. The game was a tough tussle all day. Ashy on more than a couple of occasions put some daylight between the two teams and at half time were a credible 17 points up and looking the goods. But in the premiership quarter Camberwell scored 5 to Ashy’s 2 goals to take a two point lead into the break. The final quarter was a real battle and more than once the Colts Greens could have secured a win only to be let down by poor decision making and skills execution in front of goals. Credit to Camberwell though whose lowly position on the ladder was not a true reflection of the quality team they put out on the paddock yesterday, obviously they were buoyed by the addition of a couple of marquis players. Recognition should also go to Michael Cain, Sam Shaw, Andrew Roll, Simon Hearn, Billy Anderson, Ben Andrews, Nick Cropley and Patrick Mould who busted their guts all day for their Ashy team mates. …………………………………………………………….
