Beagan, Deputy Commissioner and Director of the State Rating Bureau DATE: June 11, 2009 RE: Designation of “High-Theft” Motor Vehicles Pursuant to M.G.L. c. 175, § 113H Effective August 1, 2009 ______________________________________________________________________________ This Filing Guidance Notice notifies all insurance companies soliciting, negotiating, selling or servicing private passenger motor vehicle insurance policies regarding in Massachusetts that the Commissioner of Insurance, pursuant to her authority under M.G.L. c. 175, § 113H, has additionally designated certain 2010 model year motor vehicles as “high-theft vehicles”. The list of all such designated vehicles for model years 2010 and prior, which is effective August 1, 2009, is attached to this Guidance.
