Notice of intent North Somerset Council Various Roads, North Somerset Prohibition of Motor Vehicles Order 2021 Notice is hereby given that North Somerset District Council proposes to make an order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3) and 4(1) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The effect of the Order is to implement a prohibition of motor vehicles (with exemptions) restriction on the network of lanes between Clevedon, Yatton, Nailsea, Claverham and Backwell (including Backwell Common and Backwell Bow). Please see the list of affected roads below. Full details of the proposal are contained in the draft order, a plan of the affected area, and a Statement of the Council’s Reasons for proposing to make the Order. These may be inspected at www.n-somerset.gov.uk/notices Should you wish to make any observations on this proposal (whether you support or object the proposal) you should make them in writing to the Director of Development and Environment, North Somerset Council, Town Hall, Weston-super-Mare BS23 1UJ or email [email protected] quoting reference ATF2/RL/310321 by 5pm on 30 April 2021. Any objections must specify the grounds on which they are made. All representations received may be considered in public by the Council and that the substance of any representation together with the name and address of the person making it could become available for public inspection. Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14 Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2021 The Street, Regil, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2021 Date coming into force: 17 May 2021 Ref: T21-59 Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works construction vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road. This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to connect a new supply. This will become operative on 17 May 2021 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be 3 days in duration.
