Sat, Mar-14 DEPART THE UNITED STATES

Depart your hometown and take an overnight flight across the Atlantic. Enjoy in-flight entertainment and meal service as you travel to start your vacation.

Sun, Mar-15 ARRIVAL

After landing at London Heathrow Airport, complete customs and immigration formalities. Your CIE Tours guide will welcome you to and escort you and your luggage to the coach. Next, set off on an orientation tour of London to see some of the city’s famous landmarks. View Houses of Parliament and Big Ben before driving through Trafalgar Square, where the National Gallery and St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church are located. Motor a short distance to your hotel, check in and settle into your room. In the evening, join your fellow travelers for dinner in the hotel restaurant.

Mon, Mar-16 LONDON SIGHTSEEING

This morning, embark on a tour to see some more of London’s highlights. Stop to visit the mighty Tower of London to see the many fortresses, Beefeaters, ravens and the priceless Crown Jewels. Then, continue on to visit Westminster Abbey with its glorious medieval architecture, impressive tombs and monuments. After, return to your nearby hotel, where the remainder of the day is at leisure for individual pursuits and dining.

Tue, Mar-17 STONEHENGE

After breakfast, travel to visit Stonehenge, a celebrated prehistoric monument that is around 5,000-years-old. At one time, the site might have been an ancient burial ground or place of worship for ancient Druids. Then, continue on to visit the Roman Baths, which are over 2,000 years old and one of the best-preserved Roman sites north of the Alps. Also, visit the Pump Room, which dates from 1795, and is one of the most famous buildings in the country. Return to your hotel in London, where the balance of the day is free to sightsee, shop and dine on your own.

Today, journey into Windsor and stop to visit Windsor Castle, the official residence of The Queen. Covering thirteen acres, this is the largest inhabited castle in the world. See the Upper and Middle Wards, the Round Tower and the Lower Ward where St. George’s Chapel is situated. Then, enjoy some free time to explore the town on your own. After, return to your hotel in London, where you may like to relax or freshen up before meeting your group for dinner at a local pub or restaurant.

Leaving London, head to the nearby Train Station and enjoy a Eurostar train ride to Paris. Upon arrival, meet your CIE Tours guide who will welcome you to and escort you and your luggage to the coach. Next, set off on a panoramic tour of Paris, the City of Lights. See astounding architecture in the form of the Arc de Triomphe, Notre- Dame cathedral and La Defense. Travel down the Champes-Elysees, widely regarded as the premier shopping street in the world. Drive a short distance to your hotel, check in and settle into your room. This evening, dine with your group in the hotel restaurant.

DINNER & OVERNIGHT: MERCURE HOTEL, PARIS

Fri, Mar-20 PARIS SIGHTSEEING

After breakfast, embark on a guided tour around the world’s most popular tourist destination. Your guide will provide you with interesting facts and stories about Paris’s history and point out much of the scenery that draws so many to France’s capital. Stop to visit the Louvre Museum, one of the world’s largest museums and a national landmark. The museum holds may famous and fascinating collections from Egyptian and Islamic antiquities to Greek, Etruscan and Roman art. Their most prized pieces include the Louvre’s three great ladies; the Venus de Milo, the Victory of Samothrace, and Mona Lisa. Then, continue on to visit Sacré-Cœur before traveling into Montmarte for some free time. Return to your nearby hotel and enjoy some time at leisure before this evening’s festivities.

Tonight, set off on leisurely dinner cruise on the Seine River, where you can take in many of the city’s highlights while enjoy a superb three course meal.

Sat, Mar-21 VERSAILLES

This morning, drive into the wealthy French suburb of Versailles and stop to visit the Palace of Versailles. The palace was home to the French Monarch and represented the center of political power in France from 1682 until the French Revolution, when the power was returned to the people. Also, take a stroll through the beautiful gardens and view the water fountains that surround the palace. After, enjoy some free time to explore the area on your own before returning to your hotel in Paris. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure for independent sightseeing, shopping, dining and more.

OVERNIGHT: MERCURE HOTEL, PARIS

Sun, Mar-22 RETURN TO THE UNITED STATES

All too soon, your vacation has come to its final day. Transfer to Paris Airport in good time to check in for your flight. You may do some last minute shopping at the duty free stores before boarding your aircraft and flying across the Atlantic Ocean back to the United States.
