Das Duo hätte bei besseren Bedingungen wie etwa in Berlin wohl mit einer Zeit unter 2:05 h in die diesmal schnell gefüllte Festhalle einlaufen können, die wieder einmal für die Sportler zum Magnet und für die Zuschauer zur Fluchtburg wurde.
