Honours Conferred & Awards Received Fatima College (Autonomous) Re-Accredited with ‘A’ Grade by NAAC (3rd Cycle) College with Potential for Excellence (2004 - 2019) 74th Rank in India Ranking 2020 (NIRF) by MHRD Mary Land, Madurai - 625 018, Tamil Nadu. 2020 - 2021 Fatima College secured the 74th Rank in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2020 conducted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development in the All India “College” category on June 11, 2020. The Helen Memorial Award conferred on the students of Fatima College for their selfless service – Scribe writing for the Visually Challenged School Students on Feb. 15, 2020. 2019 - 2020 Recognizing the college's merit and its contribution towards Higher Education in India, the Government of India has selected it for the following programmes during 2018, the same is extended to 2019 - 2020. o Study in India Programme launched by EdCIL (India) Limited. o Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) – Government Programme o National Resource Centre - Cyber Safety and Security Standards. Certificate of Appreciation was given by the Blood Donors Club, Madurai Medical College, Govt. Rajaji Hospital, Madurai, Tamil Nadu AIDS Control Society and Tamil Nadu State Blood Transfusion Council, Chennai on June 21, 2019, as a part of World Blood Donor Day உ鎿ரம்’19 (Uthiram) celebration at Madurai Medical College. Fatima College received the Appreciation Award from the District Collector, Madurai, for the Best Cultural Events in the celebration of Independence Day in Aug. 2019. Fatima College was awarded ஞான 鏀பாலயம் ힿ쏁鏁 2019 (Gnana Deepalayam Virudhu – 2019) by the Kaviyarasai Kalai Tamil Sangam, Namakkal for the maximum number of participants in the State Level 73rd Independence Day celebration held on Aug. 15, 2019. Letter of Appreciation from the Little Sisters of the Poor, Tuticorin for generous contributions by staff and students was received on Aug. 17, 2019. Fatima College was Internationally Awarded the “Best Governed Institution” at the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, during the 25th International Conference on Sept. 07, 2019. Certificate of Appreciation was given by the Tamil Nadu State Aids Control Society and State Blood Transfusion Council, Chennai, for organizing a voluntary Blood Donation Camp at Fatima College, Madurai on Sept. 09, 2019. Madurai City Police has recognized and appreciated Fatima College for launching “ANANDHAM: An Initiative to promote comprehensive Development for the Police Personnel and their families in Crime Branch C2 Police Quarters” on Oct. 11, 2019. As part of the MoU, the Department of Sociology & Social Work in collaboration with Tamil Nadu Police organized a Well-Being Programme in August & December 2019. Recognizing the services of Fatima College the Govt. has included the article and pictures of Fatima College in the UBA Website in Oct. 2019. 2018 - 2019 Fatima College secured the 94th Rank in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2019 conducted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development in the All India “College” category on Apr. 08, 2019. Recognizing the college's merit and its contribution towards Indian higher education the Government of India has selected it for the following programmes: o Study in India Programme launched by EdCIL (India) Limited. o Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) – Government Programme o National Resource Center - Cyber Safety and Security Standards 2017 - 2018 Best College Award for scoring more points in various competitions at the MGR Centenary Celebrations. Secured 65th Rank in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2018 conducted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development in the All India “College” category on Apr. 03, 2018 . The Research Centre of English was awarded the Best Academic Department Award (National Level) conferred by Dr. Abdul Kalam Educational Trust, Chennai on Mar. 15, 2018. G. Subbaraman Social Academy”. 1988 - IX Youth Festival – Won the Shield for the Best Performance by a Women’s College in the Zone. 1980 - Received the Government of Tamil Nadu Rolling Cup for the highest percentage of results. 1970 - Gandhian Centenary Award. 1978 Received the Government of Tamil Nadu Rolling Cup for the Best results in the University Examination. Madurai University Championship in Team Games won for 6 years in succession. Won the Trophy of the Madurai Kamaraj University in the Inter Collegiate Fine Arts Competitions. .
