Nathan Grube Executive Director Nathan has been the Executive Director of the Greater Hartford Community Foundation, Inc. and the Tournament Director of the Travelers Championship, Connecticut’s PGA TOUR event, since 2005. During this time, the tournament has generated more than $20 million for charity and has been recognized by the PGA TOUR for numerous awards. In addition to receiving the “Players Choice” award in 2017 and 2018, the Travelers Championship was named “Tournament of the Year” by the PGA TOUR in 2017 and has now won 14 TOUR awards since 2009. Others include “Most Fan Friendly Event” (2010, 2012, 2017), “Best Title Sponsor Integration” (2009, 2010, 2012), “Best Marketing Program” (2011), “Best Use of Players” (2012), “Best Charity Integration” (2013), “Best Special Event” (2016, when it hosted the Bruce Edwards Foundation Dinner) and “Best Tournament Sales” (2017). He is also a Class ‘A’ member of the PGA of America and an active member of the Connecticut Section of the PGA. After graduating from Auburn University in 1996 with a degree in Mass Communications, Nathan worked for the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail Academy of Golf as an instructor through 2001 while playing professional golf on various tours throughout the Southeast. He then went to work for the Bruno Event Team from 2001-2004 where he was the Executive Director of The First Tee of Greater Birmingham and also worked on all four major professional golf tours in the United States, including serving as Tournament Director for the Southern Farm Bureau Classic. Nathan resides in West Hartford, Connecticut, with his wife, Carmen, and their two children. .

Travelers Championship Title Sponsorship Extended Through 2024 Travelers signs 10-year title agreement; extends marketing sponsorship with PGA TOUR HARTFORD, Conn. (February 27, 2014) – The PGA TOUR, the Greater Hartford Community Foundation and Travelers (NYSE: TRV) announced today a 10-year title sponsorship extension of the Travelers Championship. Travelers became the title sponsor of its hometown tournament in 2007. The announcement was made by Travelers Chairman and CEO Jay Fishman, Travelers Executive Vice President and CAO Andy Bessette, PGA TOUR Commissioner Tim Finchem, and Tournament Director Nathan Grube, during a morning press conference at the Connecticut Convention Center in downtown Hartford. In addition to the title sponsorship, the PGA TOUR and Travelers have extended their official marketing relationship. Both players have won on the PGA TOUR and have represented the United States with appearances in the Ryder Cup and the Presidents Cup. “Tony and Rickie will certainly draw large crowds to TPC River Highlands,” said Travelers Championship Tournament Director Nathan Grube. “They’re both familiar with the course, and we’re thrilled that they’re adding the Travelers Championship to their schedules again this year.” Tony Finau won the Puerto Rico Open in 2016 for his first PGA TOUR victory. Since then, he’s had eight second-place finishes, including two this season. Over the course of his career Finau has 10 top-10 finishes in major championships, most recently a tie for eighth last month at the PGA Championship. Finau made his Ryder Cup debut in 2018 and played in the Presidents Cup in 2019. He is No. 14 in this week’s Official World Golf Ranking. This will be Finau’s sixth appearance at TPC River Highlands. Rickie Fowler is a five-time winner on the PGA TOUR, highlighted by his victory at THE PLAYERS Championship in 2015. This year, Fowler tied for eighth at the PGA Championship, his best finish of the season. His first TOUR win came in 2012 at the Wells Fargo Championship, and his most recent victory was the Waste Management Phoenix Open in 2019.

Paul Casey will be making his seventh consecutive appearance at TPC River Highlands. He lost in a playoff to Bubba Watson in 2015, tied for second in 2018, and was T5 in 2017 and 2019. Casey has won three times on the PGA TOUR and 15 times on the European Tour, including this year at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic. His PGA TOUR wins came in 2009 at the Shell Houston Open, and at the Valspar Championship in 2018 and 2019. Casey has competed in four Ryder Cups (2004, 2006, 2008, 2018) as a member of the European team.
