S.O. 1533 dated September 14, 2006; Public Hearing is fixed for following project covered under Category B. M/s Saurashtra Calcine Bauxite & Allied Ind. Ltd. (SCABAL), has proposed Hadmatiya Bauxite Mining Project (Lease Area: 12.95 HA) located at Survey No. 121/P, Village Hadmatiya, Taluka Kalyanpur, Dist Jamnagar as mentioned in their request application received. A copy of the draft Environment Impact Assessment report and the Summary of Environment Impact Assessment report was sent to the following authorities or offices to make available the draft EIA report for inspection to the public during normal office hours, till the public hearing is over. 1. Regional Office, GPCB, Sardar Patel Bhavan, Rameshwarnagar, Jamnagar, 361 008 Other concerned persons having plausible stake in the environmental aspects were requested to send their response in writing to the concerned regulatory authorities, they were requested to send their comments to the regulatory authorities as under: The Secretary, State Environmental Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA), Paryavaran Bhavan, Sector 10 – A, Gandhinagar – 382 010. The Public Hearing is scheduled on 26.02.2010 at 11.00 hrs. at Lohana Mahajan Wadi Hall, Kalyanpur, Taluka Kalyanpur, Dist Jamnagar. An advertisement in English was published in Times of India, Ahemdabad edition dated 24.01.2010 and Gujarati in Jai Hind in Rajkot editions dated 25.01.2010. The District Magistrate, Jamnagar has supervised and presided over the entire public hearing process. A statement showing participants present during the Public Hearing is enclosed as Annexure A. A statement showing issues raised by the participants and responded by the representative of the applicant during the public hearing is enclosed as enclosed as Annexure-B. The Public Hearing is held on 26.02.2010 at 11.00 hrs. at Lohana Mahajan Wadi Hall, Kalyanpur, Taluka Kalyanpur, District Jamnagar. Shri Sandip Kumar, IAS Hon’ble District Magistrate & Collector, Jamnagar presided over the aforesaid public hearing and also briefed about the public consultation & public hearing as laid down in the notification dated 14.09.2006 Shri A. V. Shah, representative of the Member Secretary, GPCB and Regional Officer, RO, GPCB, Jamnagar explained about the background of the environmental clearance required by the project proponent and opportunity being provided to the affected people residing in and around project site as per aforesaid Notification, on the consent of Hon’ble District Magistrate & Collector, Jamnagar, a representative of M/s Saurashtra Calcine Bauxite & Allied Ind. Ltd. Asked to make presentation covering summary report of draft EIA prepared by the project proponent. Shri Pushpin Shah (Consultant) representative of M/s Saurashtra Calcine Bauxite & Allied Ind. Ltd. Made presentation about their proposal of Hadmatiya Bauxite Mining Project at Village Hadmatiya, Taluka Kalyanpur, District Jamnagar & Ran Bauxite Mining Project located at Village Ran, Taluka Kalyanpur, Dist Jamnagar.
