The trucks will enable the department to expand its service area and provide faster response times.

CA , Doug LaMalfa Plumas Alternative Learning $475,000 This USDA Rural Development investment will be used to acquire a different site to 4,217 (01) Services build a school for the Plumas Charter School. USDA earlier approved a $2.4 million loan to build the school at a different site, but the school later determined that site was not feasible. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the school has had a growing list of parents who want to enroll their children in an online platform. It has a waiting list of 70 students.

The Hogansville Downtown Development Authority's mission is to revitalize downtown through sustainable economic growth, preservation and beautification. It works to support economic development while maintaining the community's small-town feel.

IA Charles Grassley, Dave Loebsack WellSpire LLC $19,330,000 This Rural Development investment will be used to construct a 70-bed nursing 5,322 (02) home and a 21-unit assisted-living facility in DeWitt. The facility will have a memory care unit along with kitchens, a family dining area and communal spaces.

IL Richard Durbin, Mary Miller Salem Fire Protection District $654,800 This Rural Development investment will be used to purchase a side-mount, 2,000- 11,675 (15) gallon pumper truck. The truck will replace one that is 33 years old and in need of costly repairs. The department serves a 125-square-mile area that includes Stevenson, Haines, Racoon, Tonti and Alma townships.

KS Roger Marshall, Ron Estes City of Udall $440,000 This Rural Development investment will be used to construct a building to house 746 (04) the city's library. The new facility will have room for meeting spaces, children's reading programs, technology classes, a wellness facility with space for exercise equipment and exam rooms. When the library is completed, the city of Udall will give the current library space to the historical museum.

MI , Fred Upton Allegan County Community Mental $5,635,000 This Rural Development investment will be used to purchase and renovate 111,408 (06) Health Services a building to consolidate Allegan County Community Mental Health Services in one building. The agency provides medical, behavioral health, care management, outreach and dental services.

MO , Sam Graves Memphis Community Betterment $81,600 This Rural Development investment will be used to purchase a garbage truck to be 1,822 (06) Organization leased to the city of Memphis. The truck will provide more efficient trash services to city residents and businesses. The city operates a 2016 truck that was damaged during a weather event last year.

The department has three trucks that are 23 to 31 years old. Repair and maintenance costs are growing each year. Out-of-service time has increased with each breakdown. The department intends to replace all apparatus in the near future. The tanker truck will be the first vehicle to be replaced. The new truck will serve more than 60 businesses, four manufacturing facilities and one medical center in the response area.

NC Richard Burr, Gregory Francis Town of Greenevers $197,000 This Rural Development investment will be used to resurface the town's streets. The 634 Thom Tillis Murphy streets have needed repairs for many years. Hurricane Florence caused significant (03) flooding in 2018, further damaging the roads. This project will allow roughly 30,000 square yards of street resurfacing to provide safe travel for the town's residents.

NC Richard Burr, Gregory Francis Scuffleton Rural Fire Association $101,000 This Rural Development investment will be used to purchase a pumper fire truck 5,341 Thom Tillis Murphy Inc. and to refinance debt. The new equipment will provide essential rescue and life- (03) saving, emergency services.

NC Richard Burr, David Rouzer Chinquapin Volunteer Fire and $500,000 This Rural Development investment will be used to purchase a pumper truck and a 3,523 Thom Tillis (07) Rescue Squad Inc. pumper tanker truck for the Chinquapin Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad Inc. Both trucks will be fully outfitted with all necessary equipment. The trucks will replace vehicles that are more than 20 years old and no longer meet the department's need.

NC Richard Burr, David Rouzer Mount Olive Family Medicine Center $251,700 $50,000 This Rural Development investment will be used to provide additional funding to 4,589 Thom Tillis (07) Inc. construct an addition, and to refinance debt. The 3,403-square-foot addition will include nine exam rooms, four provider rooms, a work-up room, a conference room and restrooms. Refinancing the Center's debt will improve the organization's financial position.

The town's existing equipment has exceeded its useful life and has high maintenance and repair costs. The new equipment will be more reliable and less costly.

NJ , Andy Kim Deborah Heart and Lung Center $88,174,000 This Rural Development investment will be used to construct an in-patient tower of 786,139 Robert Menendez (03) private patient suites. This project also includes converting all double occupancy, in- patient rooms to private suites. Converting the rooms to private suites will improve patient and visitor safety, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.

NJ Cory Booker, Jeff Van Drew Gloucester County Improvement $60,980,000 This Rural Development investment will be used to create a fossil park in Mantua 288,288 Robert Menendez (02) Authority Township. The location contains prehistoric animal remains from the late cretaceous period more than 100 million years ago. The park will complement Rowan University's new College of Earth and Environment. It will include exhibition halls, museum preservation displays, community event spaces, a hands-on learning lab, a virtual reality theater, nature trails, a visitor center and recreation spaces. The park also will provide venues to train students in the growing field of green technology.

The expansion will add 17,500 square feet. The project also entails renovations to 13,420 square feet in the building.

NY , Antonio Delgado The Center for Discovery Inc. $35,000,000 This Rural Development investment will be used to construct a children's specialty 1,200 Charles Schumer (19) hospital in the town of Thompson. New York state lacks short-term inpatient assessment programs for children with complex developmental disabilities. The specialty hospital will have a short-term clinical assessment program to better diagnose underlying problems that affect behavior and learning. It will primarily serve Delaware, Chenango, Otsego, Columbia, Ulster, Orange, Greene, Broome and Schoharie counties. The Center provides educational, clinical and residential services for intellectually disabled individuals. It is the largest private-sector employer in Sullivan County. Additional funding includes a $5 million USDA Rural Development loan guarantee.

NY Kirsten Gillibrand, Elise Stefanik Village of Greenwich $463,000 This Rural Development investment will be used to purchase a pumper fire truck. 5,150 Charles Schumer (21) The Typhoon-X medium cab will have a 1,030-gallon water tank and a 750- to 1,250- gallon-per-minute pump. It is designed to fight fires and respond to emergencies in and around the village of Greenwich in Washington County. The new truck will replace a 2000 model-year rescue pumper with outdated safety features and limitations on the amount of rescue equipment that can be carried. The new truck will serve 5,150 residents.

NY Kirsten Gillibrand, Tom Reed Town of Richford $142,000 $80,000 This Rural Development investment will be used to purchase a 10-wheel truck with 1,172 Charles Schumer (23) a dump body and snow plow. This new snow plow will replace a 1997 model year truck that has become unreliable. The new truck will serve 1,172 residents.

NY Kirsten Gillibrand, Tom Reed Keuka College $11,375,000 This Rural Development investment will be used to purchase the Keuka Commons 2,000 Charles Schumer (23) building and refinance debt. Keuka Commons is an Americans with Disabilities Act compliant building on Keuka College's campus in Keuka Park in Yates County.

OH , Steve Stivers Scioto Township $3,500,000 This Rural Development investment will be used to construct a fire station in Scioto 9,933 (15) Township. The current building does not meet the Ohio Building Code and lacks adequate space for crew and equipment. The proposed 14,000-square-foot station will have five drive-through bays that can accommodate up to 10 vehicles. It also will have new bunk rooms, training and exercise space, restrooms and wellness areas. OH Sherrod Brown, Bill Johnson Millwood Township $143,000 This Rural Development investment will be used to purchase a road grader for 1,419 Rob Portman (06) Millwood Township. The current road grader is reaching the end of its useful life. The new grader will enable the township to continue to maintain public roads and facilities.

PR Gonzalez Colon, Municipality of Dorado $769,498 This Rural Development investment will be used to help purchase public works and 780 Jenniffer safety vehicles. The vehicles will help the town better meet its residents’ health, safety and security needs. Dorado will use the vehicles to provide a variety of municipal and recreational services.

VT , Peter Welch Retreat Farm $2,000,000 This Rural Development investment will be used to repair the North Barn facility at 12,046 (At Large) the historic retreat farm in Brattleboro. Established in 1837, the farm originally provided food, fuel and restorative services to patients and staff at the Brattleboro Retreat Psychiatric Hospital. It was transitioned to a community nonprofit in 2015. The farm contributes to the local foods movement and has expanded its partnerships with local organizations to distribute food to families in need. It will use part of the loan to create an 11,000-square-foot indoor event space.

VT Patrick Leahy, Peter Welch Rutland County Parent Child Center $833,900 $387,600 This Rural Development investment will be used to renovate two buildings and 16,495 Bernie Sanders (At Large) purchase equipment and furniture for the new Chaplin Campus 2Gen Whole Family Education Center.
