It has a limited provision of local services (pub, limited bus service). There is limited capacity at the primary school (Modbury Primary) and contributions towards facilities from new development may be required. The designated secondary school is Ivybridge Community College which is at capacity. Financial contributions towards new school facilities and transport may be required from new development. Ringmore is located within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) which is a nationally designated landscape. Importance is attached to the need to conserve the landscape and scenic beauty of these areas. Access Vehicle access may require hedge bank removal if a suitable splay is to be achieved. Pedestrian access would need to be secured to village centre. Landscape and Ecology AONB location at village edge and would extend to plot to rear of existing residential low density development. Visible in locality and this would be accentuated by high density development from wider AONB locations. Habitat and species assessment would be required.
