Lot 8 A day on the water coached by two Olympic legends Up for grabs: a day on the London 2012 waters of Weymouth and Portland coached by two Laser Radial legends: Penny Clark and Ali Young. As well as coaching Olivia, Penny represented Britain at the Beijing 2008 Games and is now the coach to Ali, the country’s greatest ever Radial sailor with two Olympics (London 2012 and Rio 2016) and a world championship title under her belt. Win this amazing prize for your sailor, or why not for a group of up to 8 sailors? This prize is open to sailors in any class of dinghy, but if you’re a Laser sailor, then Ali Young will be in her own Laser with you. A bit more about Ali: Ali Young got into sailing on her local reservoir at an early age, joining the local Optimist class circuit. Aged 13 she joined the national Optimist squad before moving into the Topper class and then the Laser Radial when she was 15. In 2005 she proved her talent, winning bronze at the Youth World Championships and soon became a fully paid-up member of the British Sailing Team. After stepping back from racing to go to university, Ali graduated in 2008 with a First-class honours degree in Civil Engineering. She was one of the final sailors picked for London 2012, finishing fifth on home waters. Illness side-lined her for 10 months in late 2013 and early 2014 but she bounced back to win silver at the first Rio 2016 test event in the summer of 2014. In the run-up to Rio, Ali made history by becoming the first British woman ever to win gold at an Olympic class world championship, going on to finish eighth at her second Games. She remains one of the most feared and respected Laser Radial sailors in the world as she prepares for Tokyo 2020. With grateful thanks to the RYA Notes: 1. The date for this visit will be set as mutually convenient, noting inevitable diary pressures. Arrangements will be handled with the RYA. 2. Sailors can be in any class, but will need to provide their own dinghy and sailing kit. 3. The RYA will provide the coaching RIB.

Arrangements will be handled with Admiral Methven’s office. 2. There may be some constraints on access in order to comply with health and safety requirements. These can be discussed in advance to make sure visitors are able to move around safely and are prepared. 3. Some basic details will be needed in advance to arrange security access.

With grateful thanks to Formula 1 Notes: 1. Grandstand seating is not included during practice or the race and it is not possible to upgrade from General Admission to Grandstand. 2.
