He is also the Series Producer of Perfect Storms: Disasters that Changed the World, which is currently in production and will broadcast in April 2013. In 2011, he co-produced the feature one-off documentary The Great Escape: Secrets Revealed. Prior to joining eOne he developed and was the Series Producer of Museum Secrets, a returning series that broadcasts on History Television in Canada, Yesterday in the UK, and is distributed by BBC Worldwide. From 2005 to 2009, Steve was a Production Executive of Original Programming at Canwest and Alliance Atlantis and oversaw more than 300 hours of programming for History Television, National Geographic Channel, Showcase, and Global Television. In 2005 he wrote and directed Turning Points of History: The General vs. the President. From 2002 to 2005 he spearheaded acquisitions, scheduling and special event programming for History Television. From 2002 to 2004 he co-produced and wrote War Stories with Lloyd Robertson and co- produced History on Film with Ann Medina. From 1999 to 2001 he was Head of Research and Development for Lynx Images Productions and Publishing. Steve has a Masters degree in Public History. Daniel Pellerin has worked in sound and music post production for film and television for the past 34 years, as recording and re-recording mixer / engineer, sound design and music supervisor / editor. For the past 16 years, he has specialized in mixing, editing and music supervising in digital 5.1 audio format for film, presently utilizing the most current digital technology, specializing in HD productions that heavily rely on CGI content. Presently, he is supervising sound design, mix and music mix for a new CGI / Re-Creation documentary series (6 x 1 Hour) spearheaded by Steve Gamester for the History Channel and E-1 called “The Perfect Storms”. Throughout his career, he has mixed all of Atom Egoyan’s 13 feature films, including his upcoming feature dramas “the Devil’s Knot” with Reese Witherspoon and Colin Firth and also “Queen of the Night” in production now. In 2010 he supervised sound design and mixing for “In Darkness”, the feature drama directed by Agnieszka Holland, premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival and was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at last year’s Oscars and also Nominated for Best Sound Editing at last year’s edition of the Genie Awards. Along with the many feature films, Movies of the week, Mini-Series and Series, he has supervised sound design, music and mixed over 100 documentary features, including “Hugh Hefner: Playboy, Activist and Rebel”, which he also Co-Produced, the definitive documentary about the founder of the Playboy empire, with the acclaimed filmmaker Brigitte Berman (Oscar winning director of her production of “Time is All You’ve Got :The Artie Shaw Story”) and last year’s winner of Best Feature Doc at Hot Docs and Nomination for this year’s Canadian Screen Award for Best Feature Documentary, Nisha Pajuha’s “The World Before Her”, to name a few. Television highlights include all seven seasons of the series “Road to Avonlea” (2.5 to 1.2 million viewers per episode), the M.O.W.’s “Butterbox Babies” (3.9 Milllion viewers per episode on Super Bowl Sunday) and “Anne of Green Gables” and “Anne of Green Gables - the Sequel” (4.5 and 3.5 Million viewers respectively) all for Sullivan Films, which still to this day hold the record for most watched broadcasts in Canada for each of their respective categories. Awards Nominations and Wins: He has been nominated for 11 Genie Awards for which he has won three (Atom Egoyan’s “The Sweet Hereafter”, Istvan Szabo’s “Sunshine” and Clement Virgo’s “Love Come Down”) and 16 Gemini Awards, for which he has won two (“Musicians in Exile” and “Under the Piano”). Hot Doc Awards for Sound include Nettie Wild’s “A Place Called Chiapas” and Ric Bienstock’s “Ebola: Inside an Outbreak”. He also won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound on The Inventor’s Series special “Edison: The Wizard of Light” for Devine Entertainment and HBO U.S. For the past few years, he has developed and produced sound in a special format for the iPhone, Blackberry, Android and iPad APPS for Percy FX in Canada. For the Anishinaabe people, the Teachings of the Seven Grandfathers is a set of teachings on human conduct toward others. As film crews employ many people from several different backgrounds, it’s a daily reminder to treat all creation with respect. And cast and crew took those words to heart every day and it contributed to a joyful set. Even more amazing given that there was a mix of crew of indigenous and non-indigenous people. The crew for Falls Around Her became an amalgamation of Toronto and Atikameksheng Anishnawbek/Sudbury/North Bay crews along with many indigenous locals. For the locals, it was the biggest production to ever have its home base on the reservation, and they were prepared for the challenge and the collective hard work of all is reflected on-screen.

AWAY FROM HER is a beautifully moving love story that deals with memory and the circuitous, unnamable paths of a long marriage. Married for 50 years, Grant (Gordon Pinsent) and Fiona’s (Julie Christie) commitment to each other appears unwavering, and their everyday life is full of tenderness and humour. This serenity is broken only by the occasional, carefully restrained reference to the past, giving a sense that this marriage may not always have been such a fairy tale. This tendency of Fiona’s to make such references, along with her increasingly evident memory loss, creates a tension that is usually brushed off casually by both of them. As the lapses become more obvious and dramatic, it is no longer possible for either of them to ignore the fact that Fiona is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. Eventually, Fiona decides that it is time for her to enter into Meadowlake, a retirement home that specializes in the disease.
