EXOTIC DISEASES OF ANIMALS ACT 1991 Appointment of Inspectors I, BRUCE MORGAN CHRISTIE, Chief Veterinary Offi cer, pursuant to section 67 of the Exotic Disease of Animal Act 1991 (‘the Act”), appoint the persons included in the classes of persons described in the schedule below as Inspectors for the purpose of the exercise and performance of the powers and functions of an Inspector under the Act, from date of appointment until 1 October 2007.

Schedule 1. Persons appointed as Authorised Persons by the Centennial Park and Moore Part Trust (known as Centennial Parklands Rangelands); 2. Members of the Australian Veterinary Reserve; and 3. Fisheries Offi cers appointed under the Fisheries Management Act 1994.

ORDER – Section 15

Declaration of restricted area – Centennial Park I, BRUCE MORGAN CHRISTIE, Chief Veterinary Offi cer, with the powers the Minister has delegated to me under section 67 of the Exotic Diseases of Animals Act 1991 and pursuant to section 15 of that Act and being of the opinion that the area specifi ed in Schedule 1 may be or become infected with the exotic disease Equine infl uenza hereby declare:

1. the area specifi ed in Schedule 1 to be a restricted area, and

2. that the classes of animals, animal products, fodder, fi ttings or vehicles to which this order applies are those described in Schedule 2 which have originated from the restricted area.

SCHEDULE 1

The area shown in the map below and described as follows: Commencing at the southern end of the Harbour Bridge at Dawes Point, thence along the southern coastline of in a generally westerly direction to Pyrmont Bridge, thence by Pyrmont Bridge to the Pyrmont Peninsula, thence in a generally counter-clockwise direction along the coastline around Pyrmont Peninsula to the Anzac Bridge, thence along Anzac Bridge to Rozelle, thence in a generally counter-clockwise direction along the coastline around the Balmain and Birchgrove Peninsula to Iron Cove Bridge, thence by Iron Cove Bridge to Drummoyne, thence in a generally counter-clockwise direction around the Drummoyne Peninsula to the Gladesville Bridge, and thence continuing by the coastline to Abbotsford Wharf, and thence to the northern end of the Great North Road, and thence southerly along the Great North Road to its junction with the (), thence westerly along the Great Western Highway to its junction with Croydon Road, and thence in a southerly direction along Croydon Road to its junction with Elizabeth Street, thence in a generally easterly direction along Elizabeth Street to its junction with Frederick Street, thence southerly along Frederick Street and southerly along its continuation as Milton Street, and thence southerly along its continuation as King Street to its junction with Jeffrey Street, thence southerly along Jeffrey Street to its junction with Canterbury Road, thence in a generally south-westerly direction along Canterbury Road to where it crosses Cooks River, then downstream along the northern edge of Cooks River to its mouth where it fl ows into Botany Bay, then continuing around the northern coastline of Botany Bay in a generally clockwise direction to Henry Head and Cape Banks, and continuing in a generally northerly direction along the coastline to the South Head of Port Jackson, and then southerly and westerly along the southern coastline of Port Jackson to the point of commencement.

EXOTIC DISEASES OF ANIMALS ACT 1991 ORDER - Section 20 Area Restriction Order - Eastern Creek I, BRUCE MORGAN CHRISTIE, Chief Veterinary Offi cer, with the powers the Minister has delegated to me under section 67 of the Exotic Diseases of Animals Act 1991 (“the Act”), direct the owners or persons in charge of any animals specifi ed in Schedule A which are within the restricted area declared by me on 25 August 2007 entitled ‘Declaration of Restricted Area – Eastern Creek’, to take the measures specifi ed in Schedule B for the purpose of preventing, controlling or eradicating the exotic disease Equine infl uenza.

SCHEDULE A Animals Horses, mules, donkeys and other animals in the Equidae family.

SCHEDULE B Measure Any animal specifi ed in Schedule A must be: 1. kept confi ned by fence, enclosure or other method at the premises at which it is located as at 12.01am on the date of this Order; 2. mustered for inspection, testing or treatment at the premises specifi ed in 1 above, on a date and time specifi ed by an Inspector.

EXOTIC DISEASES OF ANIMALS ACT 1991 ORDER - Section 20 Area Restriction Order – Centennial Park I, BRUCE MORGAN CHRISTIE, Chief Veterinary Offi cer, with the powers the Minister has delegated to me under section 67 of the Exotic Diseases of Animals Act 1991 (“the Act”), direct the owners or persons in charge of any animals specifi ed in Schedule A which are within the restricted area declared by me on 25 August 2007 entitled ‘Declaration of Restricted Area – Centennial Park’, to take the measures specifi ed in Schedule B for the purpose of preventing, controlling or eradicating the exotic disease Equine infl uenza.

EXOTIC DISEASES OF ANIMALS ACT 1991 ORDER - Section 21 Declaration of control area – State of New South Wales I, BRUCE MORGAN CHRISTIE, with the powers the Minister has delegated to me under section 67 of the Exotic Diseases of Animals Act 1991 and pursuant to section 21 of that Act and being of the opinion that it is reasonably necessary for the purpose of preventing the spread of the exotic disease Equine infl uenza, do hereby declare: 1. the area specifi ed in Schedule 1 to be a control area; and 2. that the classes of animals and animal products to which this order applies are those specifi ed in Schedule 2 which have originated from the control area.

EXOTIC DISEASES OF ANIMALS ACT 1991 ORDER - Section 76 Certifi cation that an outbreak of the exotic disease Equine infl uenza exists in the State of New South Wales I, BARRY DESMOND BUFFIER, Director-General of the NSW Department of Primary Industries, with the powers the Minister has delegated to me under section 67 of the Exotic Diseases of Animals Act 1991 and pursuant to section 76 of that Act, certify that an outbreak of the exotic disease Equine infl uenza exists in the Centennial Parklands Equestrian Centre at 114-120 Lang Road, Centennial Park, being folio identifi er 2/861843, in the State of New South Wales which was declared an infected place pursuant to section 10 of the Exotic Diseases of Animals Act 1991 on 25 August 2007.
