WSOP 2008: Sieben Topspieler Erreichen Den Final Table Beim No-Limit 2-7 Lowball WSOP 2008: Sieben Topspieler erreichen den Final Table beim No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Event #18: USD 5.000 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Single Draw with Rebuys, Tag zwei Es ist vollbracht, mit Barry Greenstein hat endlich ein Spieler vom Team PokerStars Pro den Einzug an den Finaltisch bei der WSOP 2008 perfekt gemacht. Und dieser Finaltisch bei der No-Limit-Variante des Lowball 2-7 hat es richtig in sich. Neben Greenstein gehören zu den letzten sieben Spielern, die am Mittwoch die Siegprämie von USD 537.857 ausspielen, die nicht weniger bekannten Pros Erick Lindgren, Mike Matusow, Jeffrey Lisandro, David Benyamine, Tony G Guoga und der „WSOP Player of the Year 2007″, Tom Schneider. Insgesamt waren 39 Pokerspieler in Tag zwei gestartet und nur 14 von ihnen landeten schließlich im Geld. Zum Bubbleboy avancierte ausgerechnet Pokerlegende Doyle Brunson. In Level 14 (3.000/6.000, Ante: 1.500) ging Texas Dolly mit seinen 48.500 verbliebenen Chips all-in und wurde von Tom Schneider gecallt. Beide blieben „pat“, verzichteten also darauf, eine Karte zu ziehen, sodass Lisandro schließlich mit 9 8 gegen 10 8 von Brunson die Nase vorn hatte. Für Team-PokerStars-Pro Chad Brown lief es etwas besser. Er erreichte immerhin Rang elf, was ihm ein Preisgeld von USD 34.700 einbrachte. Auf Rang zehn eliminierte Greenstein dann David Grey und sicherte sich gleichzeitig mit 541.000 den zweiten Platz im Chipcount. Grey eröffnete den Pot mit einem All-in für 71.000, Greenstein callte und blieb „pat“ mit 10 7. Grey zog eine Karte, doch J 8 reichten am Ende nicht. Auch er bekam ein Preisgeld von USD 34.700 ausbezahlt. Als letzter Spieler musste Tom Dwan seinen Stuhl räumen, der gerade erst mit Platz sieben bei der Mixed World Championship sein Allround-Talent unter Beweis gestellt hatte. Er verlor zunächst eine große Hand gegen Erick Lindgren, in der Dario Alioto zudem als Neunter seinen Hut nehmen musste. Die verbliebenen 11.000 Chips konnte er gegen Mike Matusow noch einmal verdoppeln, doch als er nach einem Raise von David Benyamine auf 30.000 all-in gecallt hatte und mit Q 10 pat blieb, war alles gelaufen, denn Benyamine zog eine Karte und gewann mit 10 7. Für Tom Dwan blieben USD 45.110 Preisgeld. Event #19: USD 1.500 Pot-Limit Omaha, Tag eins Jede Menge Action brachte der erste Tag beim USD 1.500 Pot- Limit Omaha. 759 Teilnehmer (Preispool: USD 1.036.035) waren richtig in Spiellaune und es gab wie erwartet einige spektakuläre Hände zu sehen. Natürlich waren auch viele große Namen an den Tischen vertreten. Das Team PokerStars Pro war mit Tom McEvoy, Humberto Brenes, Greg Raymer, Steve Paul- Ambrose, Victor Ramdin und den beiden Ladies Vanessa Rousso und Katja Thater angetreten. Dazu gesellten sich unter anderem Phil Gordon, Erik Seidel, Dave Ulliott, Rolf Slotboom, Scotty Nguyen, J. C. Tran und David Sklansky. Als einer der ersten Spieler musste ausgerechnet der ausgewiesene Spezialist Robert Williamson III seinen Stuhl räumen. Der Flop zeigte J [key:card_spades] 5 [key:card_hearts] J [key:card_hearts], als Williamson seine restlichen 500 Chips mit A Q J 3 in die Mitte schob. Ein Spieler callte mit A [key:card_hearts] 10 [key:card_hearts] K [key:card_spades] 3 [key:card_spades], der Turn brachte die 7 [key:card_hearts] zum Flush und nach der 8 [key:card_diamonds] am River war bereits alles gelaufen für Williamson. Ebenfalls im zweiten Level musste Victor Ramdin dran glauben, der seine Chips mit einem gefloppten Full House in die Mitte brachte. Der Flop zeigte 9 [key:card_hearts] 9 [key:card_diamonds] 7 [key:card_clubs] und sein Gegner 9 [key:card_spades] 3 [key:card_clubs] K [key:card_hearts] A [key:card_clubs]. Doch gleich die Turncard brachte den König und Ramdin musste sich dem höheren Full House geschlagen geben. Frustrierend verlief das Turnier für unseren deutschen PLO- Experten Benjamin Kang. Das Turnier ging so langsam in Richtung Geld, als der Berliner völlig carddead fast drei Stunden keine Hand spielen konnte. In Level acht (400/800) kam es dann zur entscheidenden Hand gegen Scotty Nguyen, der zusammen mit einem weiteren Spieler in den Pot gelimpt hatte. Der Flop brachte K [key:card_spades] 4 [key:card_spades] 4 [key:card_hearts], die Turncard 10 [key:card_hearts] und Benjamin, der 9 10 J Q (double-suited mit Herz) hielt, ging mit seinem Flushdraw all-in. Scotty hielt A 8 10 2 (zwei Pik) und callte mit seinem Flushdraw, der sich dann am River materialisierte. Unser PokerStars ShootingStar schied auf Rang 88 aus, 72 Plätze werden bezahlt. Der Bubbleboy war dann Rafi Amit, der zuvor noch zum Scherzen aufgelegt war, da er mehrfach seine Gegner ausgerivert hatte: „Ich stelle einfach mein Geld rein und gewinne. Die Leute versuchen mich immer mit den Nuts zu bluffen.“ Gegen Eugene Todd gelang ihm dies aber nicht. Der Flop zeigte A [key:card_hearts] 8 [key:card_spades] 6 [key:card_diamonds], Todd checkte, Amit spielte 4.000 an und Todd setzte ihn daraufhin all-in. Der callte und zeigte 5 [key:card_diamonds] A [key:card_diamonds] 7 [key:card_diamonds] 4 [key:card_spades] für Top Pair und Straightdraw. Todd drehte 9 [key:card_spades] 3 [key:card_diamonds] A [key:card_spades] 7 [key:card_spades] um, also ebenfalls Top Pair, aber den höheren Straightdraw. Die Turncard war eine harmlose Drei, aber der River brachte [Five of hearts] und damit die Straight für Eugene Todd und den undankbaren 73. Platz für Rafi Amit aus Israel, der 2005 ein WSOP-Bracelet im Pot-Limit Omaha gewonnen hatte. Eugene Todd dagegen schloss den Tag mit 103.600 weit oben im Chipcount ab. Vor ihm rangieren lediglich Carter Gill (114.000), Anthony Phillips (133.100) und die Führende, Vanessa Selbst. Die Heads-up-Spezialistin spielte gewohnt aggressiv und sammelte satte 203.600 Chips ein. Besonders in der Bubble-Phase machte sie mit ihrem großen Stack im Rücken mächtig Druck. Insgesamt haben 46 Spieler überlebt, darunter leider kein deutscher Spieler und kein Team-PokerStars-Pro. Event #20: USD 2.000 Limit Hold’em, Tag eins Die Anzahl der Teilnehmer beim zweiten Limit-Hold’em-Turnier war etwas enttäuschend. Gerade einmal 480 zahlten das Buy-in von USD 2.000, sodass der Preispool mit USD 873.600 deutlich unter einer Million liegt. Dennoch war es ein sehr interessanter erster Turniertag und im Mittelpunkt stand immer wieder Team-PokerStars-Pro Daniel Negreanu. Bereits im dritten Level (50/100) hatte KidPoker seinen Stack bereits mehr als verdoppelt. Nach Raise und Rearaise zweier Spieler vor ihm setzte Negreanu noch einen obendrauf. Beide Gegner callten, der Flop brachte J [key:card_hearts] 4 [key:card_hearts] 4 [key:card_clubs] und es wurde zu Negreanu gecheckt, der anspielte und wieder von beiden gecallt wurde. Die Turncard war die 5 [key:card_hearts], der erste Spieler checkte erneut, aber der zweite setzte und diesmal callte Negreanu, während der dritte im Bunde seine Hand aufgab. Nach der 6 [key:card_diamonds] am River checkten beide und KidPokers Pocketkings waren gut gegen A [key:card_hearts] Q [key:card_spades]. Im fünften Level übernahm der Kanadier dann mit 22.000 Chips die Führung. Für Teamkollegen Victor Ramdin lief auch in diesem Turnier so ziemlich alles schief. Nach einem Raise aus mittlerer Position callten der Spieler am Button und Victor im Big Blind. Der Flop brachte 10 [key:card_clubs] 10 [key:card_diamonds] J [key:card_clubs] und damit einen Drilling für Ramdin, der zunächst check-call spielte (der Spieler am Button foldete). Nach dem K [key:card_hearts] am Turn setzte Ramdin dann zum Check-Raise an und bekam den Call. Die 4 [key:card_clubs] am River wurde ihm dann zum Verhängnis, denn sein Gegner callte den Bet und zeigte K [key:card_clubs] 5 [key:card_clubs] zum Flush. Mit Pocket-Zweien gingen wenig später die restlichen 175 Chips in die Mitte, zwei Spieler blieben dabei und einer von ihnen schnappte sich mit Two Pair den Pot. Aus deutscher Sicht gibt es auch von diesem Event wenige gute Nachrichten. Lediglich Sasa Biorac wird am zweiten Turniertag mit 18.600 Chips in den Amazon Room zurückkehren. Katja Thater, Hanno Offen und Jan von Halle schafften nicht den Sprung in Tag zwei. Auch für den Österreicher Markus Golser, der vor wenigen Tagen beim USD 1.500-Limit-Turnier am Finaltisch saß, war Tag eins der letzte Tag..
