    mar.12.059 06/03/12 La Oliva, Yaiza, Adeje, Arona y Pájara, entre los núcleos turísticos más rentables en 2011 Los municipios de La Oliva y Pájara (Fuerteventura), Adeje y Arona (Tenerife) y Yaiza (Lanzarote) se encuentran entre los más rentables de España, según ha señalado este martes el vicepresidente ejecutivo de la Alianza para la Excelencia Turística, Exceltur, José Luis Zoreda. El turismo continúa siendo “fuente de generación” de trabajo en España con la creación en 2011 de un total de 9.932 nuevos empleos, lo que supone un 2,2% más respecto a 2010 en los 105 destinos turísticos más relevantes de la geografía española. En el marco de la presentación del ‘Barómetro de rentabilidad y empleo de los 105 principales destinos turísticos españoles’, Zoreda detalló que los destinos vacacionales, que registraron un crecimiento de los ingresos por habitación disponible –RevPar– del 11,5%, se comportaron mejor que los urbanos, con un aumento del RevPar del 4%, básicamente por la redirección de extranjeros dada la inestabilidad del mediterráneo oriental. Desde Exceltur se considera que el mayor crecimiento de los ingresos frente al empleo demuestra la enorme incertidumbre sobre la consistencia y continuidad del repunte de demanda, así como la dificultad de generar empleo sostenido en 2011, dada la rigidez laboral aún imperante en ese año. Por ello Zoreda asegura que la organización ha recibido “con satisfacción” las medidas de la reforma laboral que afectan al sector. “Confiamos que los ajustes pendientes que se incorporen en la tramitación parlamentaria puedan crear o, cuanto menos, mantener el empleo turístico en un año complejo como 2012 ″, resaltó.

Those that took place between 2009 and 2017 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, their quantitative dimension and their intra-urban distribution are analysed in this study. This perspective allows an appreciation of their relationship with the unequal distribution of income and alien status, factors leading the investigations on the loss of property. La caída de esas actividades hasta su total desaparición fue paralela a la caída y casi total olvido de ese vocabulario en el habla popular de las islas. Pero muchas de aquellas palabras perdidas quedan en la toponimia como testimonio de aquella actividad y de los lugares en que se ubicaron los ingenios. Palabras clave: léxico, azúcar, toponimia, Islas Canarias Abstract: The cultivation of sugar cane in the Canary Islands and the consequent industry for the production of sugar had its flowering in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, and thus the birth and implementation of a specific vocabulary related to these two processes. The fall of these activities until their total disappearance was parallel to the decline and almost total neglect of that vocabulary in popular speech of the islands.

    LOS GENTILICIOS EN FUERTEVENTURA: CAUSAS DE SU ESCASEZ Y CRITERIOS PARA REMEDIARLA Marcial Morera Universidad de La Laguna [email protected] RESUMEN En la isla canaria de Fuerteventura, solamente la isla y su antigua capital, Santa María de Betan- curia, disponen de denominaciones gentilicias propias, en tanto que el resto de sus pueblos carecen enteramente de ellas. Las razones de semejante deficiencia son ciertamente diversas: el tradicional régimen señorial de la isla, su crónica penuria económica y la escasa población que ha tenido siempre este trozo de tierra insular a lo largo de todos los tiempos. PALABRAS CLAVE : Lingüística, semántica, gramática, lexicología e historia. ABSTRACT «Demonyms in Fuerteventura: Causes for its Paucity and Criteria to solve the problem». In the Canarian island of Fuerteventura, just the island and its ancient capital, Santa María de Betancuria, have their own demonyms or family names, while the rest of the villages lack it.
