NOTICE As approved by Hon'ble Mr. Justice R.M.Lodha, Judge, Supreme Court of India and Executive Chairman, NALSA, 2nd National Lok Adalat is to be conducted on 12th April, 2014(Saturday) at all levels, right from the Supreme Court to Tuluka Courts. Accordingly, Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee is going to organize a National Lok Adalat with the approval of Hon'ble Mr. Justice Pradeep Nandrajog, Hon'ble Chairman, DHCLSC for the pending cases under following category:- 1. Misc. Appeals, Civil Appeals, 2nd Appeals, Original Suits, Writs, MACT Appeals. 2. Electricity & Water Bills(Excluding Theft Cases). 3. Service matters relating to pay and allowances and retrial benefits. To facilitate settlements, the Committee will organize pre-Lok Adalat sittings. The parties and their Advocates who are interested to settle their matters in the National Lok Adalat may contact O/o Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee, Chamber No. 34, Lawyers Chambers, Delhi High Court with particulars of their cases. The parties may also make prayer to the Hon'ble Court concerned to refer the matter to the National Lok Adalat if the matter is fit for being taken up in the National Lok Adalat. NOTICE It is hereby informed that Hon'ble the Chief Justice, on the recommendation of the Hon'ble Computer Committee, has directed that it will be mandatory to file soft copy on CD-R/DVD-R in Original side jurisdiction matters w.e.f. 01-Feb.- 2014 in addition to the existing paper filing of cases. The procedure to prepare soft copy is as under: Procedure for documents preparation for filing of soft copy. 1. Prepare original text material/documents viz. Index, notice of motion, memo of parties, main petition, interlocutory applications, etc. in MS- word or Open office, as per format already prescribed for hard copy. 2. Convert documents into PDF using any PDF converter tool or inbuilt PDF conversion functionality of word processing software. 3. Scan the documents viz. notorized affidavit(s) signed vakalatnama, certified copy of order or award/agreement and annexures etc. (other than text material) using 300 dpi. 4. Merge both type documents, prepared in MS word or open office and scanned, in a single PDF searchable (OCR i.e. Optical Character Recognition/Reader) and bookmark the documents strictly as per the index of hard-copy. Burn the merged single file on a CD-R/DVD-R. 5. Present hard-copy, as usual, along with the CD-R/DVD-R at the Delhi High Court filing counter at the time of filing. (Details of the case be written in black ink using black marker on the CD mailer (padded) cover as well as on CD under the signature of counsel). The Advocate will give an undertaking on the hard-copy in the following format: “Certified that the soft copy filed herewith is a replica of the hard-copy filed. For any assistance and training please contact Mr. Sarsij Kumar, System Analyst, and Mr. Zameem Ahmad Khan, Programmer, Computer Cell, Ground Floor, A- Block, Delhi High Court, New Delhi. CIRCULAR In continuation of Circular bearing F.No.365/e-Court/Comp./DHC/No.1245 dated 25.09.2013, all concerned are hereby informed that the facililty of providing digitized data of the cases (except the orders part) to the Advocates and Litigants appearing in person in e-Courts, free of charge is further extended till 30.04.2014. All concerned are requested to submit their application for supply of digital copy of the cases pending in the e-Courts of Delhi High Court in the set format along with the CDs/DVDs to the Court Master of the Court where the matter is listed for hearing who, in turn, will forward the same to the Portfolio Department. The main impacts of the early cinema were the cultural influences of the country. The Tamil language, ancient than the Sanskrit, was the medium in which many plays and stories were written since the ages as early as the Cholas.

Abstract The paper strives to explore various facets of reincarnation as a theme or device in popular Indian cinema. Reincarnation has been a popular theme in Indian cinema since the early days of Indian film industry. The take of Indian cinema on the subject is very different from that of World cinema or Hollywood; its root can be traced back to traditional Indian philosophy professing Karma and the concept of rebirth. The cyclic pattern of birth and death as professed in Indian philosophy is reflected in a number of ways in the reincarnations movies: through the repetitive usage of various tropes of music, image and also by adopting a cyclic narrative structure. Reincarnation as a theme attributes to the scope of retelling love stories and revenge sagas, thus enhancing the melodramatic ‘masala’ nature of popular Indian cinema. The movies largely dwell upon and invest in the concept of immortality of the soul and eternal love between the lovers spanning over births.
