Mount Vernon Parks and Enrichment Services is pleased to announce the opening of the new 18 hole course at Edgewater Park in Mount Vernon. It is a free course and ready for disc golfers of all ages to enjoy. This amazing course was designed and built by a collaboration of dedicated volunteers and City staff. They includes Quientin Sutter and members of the Skagit Valley Disc , Danny Pickering and members of the Mount Vernon Parks Foundation, Detective Dave Shackleton of the Mount Vernon Police Department and James Weppler and crew with the Mount Vernon Parks Department. You can become familiar with the course layout via a disc app called UDisc. Downloadable from iTunes and Play Stores, as well as by following the web link: https://udisc.com/.

On June 29th the course will be closed for public play while our first organized disc golf tournament takes place. We do encourage the public and anyone interested in disc golf to come on out to observe and interact with competitive disc golfers from around the Northwest Region. We will also have a temporary closure of the course from July 3rd – 15th while various city special events take place at Edgewater Park.

We hope you and your family are able to come out this summer and enjoy this wonderful addition to Edgewater Park.
