It appeared that there were various inconsistencies throughout the hearing of this application and Councillor Dilks welcomed a response from the Council outlining their concerns. Councillor Shinkins-Hoppe offered to put together a letter for consideration at Full Council and would recommended this be sent on behalf of the Parish Council. 48.21 To receive reports from the clerk. Nothing to report. 49.21 To offer a response to the Government White Paper – Planning for the Future. The Councillors were given two appendices supplied by Councillor Shinkins-Hoppe. The first report gave a shortened explanation of the proposed changes to Planning Law. The second document represented the Parish Council’s response to the questions raised within the White Paper.

Starting point: High Locks, Deeping St James. Parking: Along Bridge Street next to the river. Public transport: For information and times, call the Traveline on 0870 6082608 or visit www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/busrailtravel. Walk length: 4.25 km, 2.7 miles Time: 1.5 hours. Type of walk: This is a level walk, partly paved paths and lanes with some walking on the riverbank. It may be muddy in parts with some stiles so good walking shoes are recommended. Anti-social behaviour continues to be a problem at all the parks and open spaces including large amounts of general litter, smashed glass, graffiti, evidence of small fires and cannabis use and damage to school fencing, boundary walls, planting and some play equipment. The Police have been investigating the damage at Jubilee Park and fire at Hereward Way but have been unable to pursue the cases as no eye witnesses have come forward and CCTV footage isn’t available. The Police have assured the parish council that they will increase their patrols within the Deepings. Evidence of further fires at Woody Heights over the weekend of 5/6 September are also being investigated and the CCTV footage is being reviewed At present the Parish Council’s maintenance staff visit Woody Heights at least 3 times a week and clear the area and make it safe.
