Philmont Training Center Masters Track Award The Philmont Training Center (the National Volunteer Training Center for the Boy Scouts of America) is proud to offer training opportunities for all levels of Scouting Volunteers. Training is needed at all levels of our organization, from the basic training done in the local Councils, to advanced courses in the local Councils and through PTC. The purpose of this program is to promote educational opportunities, so that Scouters have incentives to not only return to PTC over a number of years and grow through the advanced-level training but to also take their knowledge back to their units, districts, councils, council clusters, national, and international venues. HOW TO PURCHASE THE PATCH: Once you have completed the First and Second Tracks (on this first page), please mail or fax the form to PTC. If approved, you will receive a letter and certificate by mail from PTC, which allows you to place an order through your local Council BSA Store. Please note: neither PTC nor the Tooth of Time Traders (Philmont’s Trading Post) provide the patch. FOR THE DEVICE: The requirements for the Third Track can be found on the second page of this application. Once you have accomplished both parts of the Third Track, please mail or fax the completed form to PTC. If approved, you will receive the device directly from PTC. All actions for the Philmont Training Center Masters Track Square Award must be earned after June 1, 2008. All courses taken prior this date will not be counted.
