Ephesians 1:11-23 Sealed and Secure with the Holy Spirit Ephesians 1:13 13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, Numbers 27:18 18 So the Lord said to Moses, “Take Joshua son of Nun, a man on whom is the spirit of leadership,[a] and lay your hand on him. 1 Samuel 16:12-13 12 So he sent for him and had him brought in. He was glowing with health and had a fine appearance and handsome features. Then the Lord said, “Rise and anoint him; this is the one.” 13 So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David. 1 Samuel 10:10 10 When Saul and his servant arrived at Gibeah, a procession of prophets met him; the Spirit of God came powerfully upon him, and he joined in their prophesying. 1 Samuel 16:14 14 Now the Spirit of the Lord had departed from Saul, Ezekiel 36:26:27 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.” Joel 2:28 "And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.” John 4:14 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 14:15-17 Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit 15 “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. Esther 8:8 8 Now write another decree in the king’s name on behalf of the Jews as seems best to you, and seal it with the king’s signet ring—for no document written in the king’s name and sealed with his ring can be revoked.” Ephesians 4:30 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed until the day of redemption. John 10:28-29 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 1 Corinthians 1:8-9 8 He will also keep you firm to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. [which means the day the Lord returns].” Jeremiah 32:10 10 I signed and sealed the deed, had it witnessed, and weighed out the silver on the scales. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 “19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” ACTS 8 14 When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to Samaria. 15 When they arrived, they prayed for the new believers there that they might receive the Holy Spirit, 16 because the Holy Spirit had not yet come on any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 17 So Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit. ACTS 19 While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road through the interior and arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples 2 and asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when[a] you believed?” They answered, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.” And so then desiring to receive the Holy Spirit Paul lays his hands on them and the they were baptized in the Holy Spirit. Luke 11:13 JESUS SAID, 13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” .
