WEDNESDAY, JUNE 16, 2021 SILVER GLEAMS WITH BROODMARE DISPERSAL ADDED TO FASIG JULY; ADDITIONAL ENTRIES TO BE HARD SPUN POLISH ACCEPTED Fasig-Tipton has added a breeding stock section to its upcoming July sales in Lexington, Kentucky. The company will offer 18 mares as part of the Far From Over/Fountain of Youth Dispersal. All will be consigned by Stuart Morris. The group of mares are property of a partnership supporting young stallion Far From Over (Blame). The 2015 GIII Withers S. winner had been standing at stud in California before suffering a pelvis injury early in the 2021 breeding season that took him out of service for the remainder of the year. The mares that had not yet been bred to him were shipped to Kentucky and bred to stallions there. Due to the circumstances, the partnership has opted to disperse of all its holdings. • Addeybb Is the Champion at Last
SUNDAY, 18 OCTOBER 2020 KAMEKO TO TWEENHILLS IN 2021 ADDEYBB IS THE This year=s G1 2000 Guineas scorer Kameko (Kitten=s CHAMPION AT LAST JoyBSweeter Still {Ire}, by Rock Of Gibraltar {Ire})) will retire to Tweenhills Stud upon conclusion of his 3-year-old campaign this year. In addition to the 2000 Guineas, which he won in race record time, Kameko won last year=s G1 Vertem Futurity Trophy. He was fourth in three consecutive Group 1s this summer before besting older horses in the G2 Joel S. and is set to run in the Breeders= Cup. Sheikh Fahad Al-Thani, chairman of Qatar Racing, said, AMy brothers and I are delighted to own another superstar in Kameko, whose record-breaking 2- and 3-year-old campaigns will live long in our memory. We cannot wait to unveil him to breeders.@ Trainer Andrew Balding added, AKameko is without doubt the best horse I=ve trained. He has all the attributes of a top-class miler and is a striking horse to look at. I feel very honoured to Addeybb and Tom Marquand take the Champion S. | PA Media have had the opportunity to train a horse of such class.@ Cont. p13 By Tom Frary All day long at Ascot, it was a case of deep-ground lovers need only apply and one who certainly fit that category was Addeybb (Ire) (Pivotal {GB}) and he duly carried off the feature G1 QIPCO Champion S. Going through the conditions with an ease his rivals could not match, last year=s runner-up finally registered a first top-level success in Britain having annexed the G1 Ranvet S.

  • Positive Start to Tattersalls July
THURSDAY, 11 JULY 2019 MASAR HEADLINES JULY OPENER POSITIVE START TO Now that he has that all-important pipe-opener under his belt, TATTERSALLS JULY Masar (Ire) (New Approach {Ire}) can hopefully begin the process of rebuilding back to where he promised to be in Thursday=s G2 Princess of Wales=s S. on the first day of Newmarket=s July meeting. Cut short after his G1 Epsom Derby triumph last June, Godolphin=s >TDN Rising Star= produced a respectable effort after the layoff when fifth in Royal Ascot=s G2 Hardwicke S. June 22. Stumbling at the start and then too free throughout the early stages, the homebred may have a case for reversing form with Khalid Abdullah=s Mirage Dancer (GB) (Frankel {GB}) who was third after a perfect trip. Masar=s handler Charlie Appleby is looking ahead now. AHe has definitely come forward for his run at Ascot,@ he said. AWhen you are preparing a horse off a long lay off that has been running over a mile and a half at the top level, you can get them fit to a level at home but a race just puts the edge on them. He came into the race really well, but he just got a bit tired and he At Last, a half-sister to Zoustar, sells for 420,000gns | Tattersalls had nice blow afterwards. He was as fit as we could get him without getting a run in, but that run has definitely brought him forward and his preparation has gone well from Ascot to the By Amy Lynam Princess of Wales=s and he will be better with that run under his At Last (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), a half-sister to Australian sire belt.

TRUENICKS STALLION AFFINITY REPORT Redoute's Choice (AUS) TRUENICKS STALLION AFFINITY REPORT FOR: Redoute's Choice (AUS) All Broodmare Sires Copyright © 2009 The Jockey Club Information Systems, Inc. Page 1 of 3 TRUENICKS STALLION AFFINITY REPORT Redoute's Choice (AUS) TrueNicks: AN EXPLANATION Nicks in History Compatibility of stallions from one male line with mares from other sire lines has shaped the breed since the Eclipse/Herod cross of the late 18th century. Called nicks, these successful crosses–Hermit/Stockwell, Lexington/Glencoe, Bend Or/Macaroni, Phalaris/Chaucer–have made a profound impact on the development of the Thoroughbred. In the modern era, the prolific Mr. Prospector/Northern Dancer cross has produced outstanding racehorses and sires such as Kingmambo, Distorted Humor, Elusive Quality, Thunder Gulch, and Grand Slam. Fast-Forward to the 21st Century Computers have now made it possible to measure and rate nicks, which has given rise to a commercial market for such statistics. Though popular, the nick ratings offered to the public to date have been compromised by incomplete data. This inevitably yields results based on hypothetical rather than real opportunity. This statistical gap was the impetus behind the development of TrueNicks. A Statistically Valid Approach Unlike other ratings that are calculated on the basis of hypothetical opportunity among a limited group of horses, the TrueNicks rating utilizes the database of The Jockey Club – the world’s most complete records of Thoroughbreds and their performance — to produce a sophisticated rating based on all foals for a given cross. The Statistics A TrueNicks rating is derived from two statistical elements: a Sire Improvement Index (SII) and a Broodmare Sire Improvement Index (BSII).
