Louis C.K.'s latest live comedy special has been selling on his own website for $5 and (finally!) comes to television Thursday, May 28 on FX. The same night, FX is airing the season five finale of his series

Louis C.K. Live at the Comedy Store is explained by the comedian himself like this: "This is my new standup special Louis C.K. Live at the Comedy Store. As you can probably extract from the title, it's me, live, at the Comedy Store which is a legendary comedy club on the sunset strip in Los Angeles."

The special is one of many of C.K.'s sets at theaters and venues like The Beacon Theater and Carnegie Hall.Â

His past specials for TV have been promoted to the level of his genius and star power.Â

HBO's Louis C.K.: Oh My God, for example, went BIG.Â

C.K. promoted this year's special at Los Angeles' Comedy Store on his own website and YouTube channel:Â

For Louie on FX, trailers and promos have been completely the opposite, often portraying black-and-white despair from around New York.Â
