Flanagan joined Syracuse in March 2008 as women’s ice hockey head coach. In his fourth year of coaching the Orange, Flanagan recorded a record of 10- 22-3. He is 51-71-13 at Syracuse and 281-154-37 overall in his coaching career. Flanagan has notched a record of 18-33-9 in the CHA.

The 2010 College Hockey America (CHA) Coach of the Year led the Orange to its second consecutive appear- ance in the CHA Championship game in 2010-11, finish- ing the year with an overall record of 14-16-6.

Flanagan is one of the most recognized names in colle- giate ice hockey after leading St. Lawrence to four con- secutive NCAA Frozen Four appearances, which places second among active coaches. His six NCAA appearances ranks second in the nation.

Coaching the ‘Cuse After just five seasons, Flanagan and the Orange have made a name for SU ice hockey and are contending with the nation’s best.
