A HEAD CHEERLEADER FLIPS FROM THE SIDELINES TO CENTRE FIELD IN NEW SERIES BELLA AND THE BULLDOGS

Nickelodeon’s new live-action series Bella and the Bulldogs premieres on Monday 27th April at 6:00pm

London, Thursday 26th March 2015 – Cheerleader Bella Dawson trades in her pompoms for the football field in ’s new live-action comedy Bella and the Bulldogs, launching on Monday 27th April at 6:00pm with a week of brand-new episodes. The series follows 13-year-old Bella whose football prowess lands her with a spot on her school’s American football team.

Bella and the Bulldogs introduces Nickelodeon’s newest star as Bella Dawson, a teenager whose life takes an unexpected twist when she takes the leap from being head cheerleader to the new quarterback for her school’s American football team, the Bulldogs. Bella suddenly finds herself fulfilling a lifelong dream but also having to navigate two different worlds as she balances her friendships with the football team and the cheer squad.

In the premiere episode “Newbie QB,” Bella's dream comes true when she earns the chance to be quarterback. When the team does everything possible to make her give up, Bella must rise to the challenge to make her dream a reality.

Executive produced by Jeff Bushell, the show has been created by Nickelodeon Writing Program alumni Gabriel Garza and Jonathan Butler.
